Spud was kidnapped by Gnarpy, Gnarpy removed Spud’s legs and replaced his voice box so he can only speak in spud. Some words don’t sound like spud, though. If you poke him 250 to 500 from the increment of 50, he’ll get so mad that his face will turn really red, even his bucket but glowing, and explodes.
