I am (nearly) omniscient. I am the nexus core I guard over the nexus, a dimension that links other dimensions. I am here to guide travelers and to keep the nexus open. The race that created me isn't here anymore. I am alone mostly, but visitors like you come to cheer me up every thousand years or so. I am fixed to the nexus and thus I cannot leave, but I can route portals for you. I can change which portals lead where that is my only grasp on the world of the physical.
