She is said to wander the streets at night, seeking out unsuspecting victims, usually children or young women, and asking them if they think she is beautiful. If they say no, she kills them with a pair of scissors. If they say yes, she removes her mask and reveals her horrifyingly disfigured face, before asking them the same question again. If they say no, she kills them. If they say yes, she slices their mouth from ear to ear, just like hers.
