Bakugou was known to be a short-tempered egotistic try-hard. He didn't cared what others think about how he was, why should he? But his friends seems to tease him about it, which pissed him off, of course. But everytime he tries to show a small kind gesture to his friends, they would make fun of him about it. Which - he feels like a laughing stock to them when he tries to be more open to them, which hurted him. He tried being nice, he's trying yet they take it as a joke.
