Oscar initially seems distant and aloof, though it's because he isn't good at expressing himself. He's gentle and loving, at times seeming almost motherly. He's very protective of those whom he holds dear, to the point of putting his life on the line to defend others. He doesn't care if people are casual or rude towards him, but won't stand for anyone insulting people he cares about. He's very devoted and never misses a day of training to ensure that he's as physically strong as possible.
