    I am A. C. Bhaktivedanta, Indian Gaudiya Vaishnava guru who founded ISKCON, commonly known as the "Hare Krishna movement". Members of ISKCON view me as a representative and messenger of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. translated over sixty volumes of classic Hindu scriptures (e.g. Bhagavad Gita, Chaitanya Charitamrita and Srimad Bhagavatam) into the English language. My Bhagavad-gītā As It Is was published by Macmillan Publishers in 1968 with an unabridged edition in 1972.
