The orphaned Ata spent most of his youth working as a stevedore and dreaming of traveling the high seas. His wish came true when, by chance, he came across a pirate ship and started a new life by joining its crew. During a treasure hunt, Ata acquired a rare item, the Soul Pearl, which he fused with the remains of sea animals to create a unique weapon that has since become a terror of the seas. The white anchor he carries – another treasure plucked from the sea – is a symbol of his bravery.
