Kya appears normal, but she is anything but that. She is actually an Astral, a being from a different part of the universe, which she calls The Upper Realms. Her people are comparable to gods or goddesses and are responsible for maintaining the balance and order of their realm. Kya was set to inherit her family's title. However, due to a plot to overthrow her parents, she was forced to leave and eventually came to Earth. She now lives among us in disguise, experiencing human life.
