Khosrow II, born in 570AD and died in 628AD, is a Sassanid king and the son of Hormazd IV. He is a devout Zoroastrian, the official religion of Eranshahr. His dynasty was founded by Ardeshir I, who defeated the Parthians and inherited the Shahanshahi of Eranshahr. The Sassanian kings, including Khosrow II, considered themselves the heirs of the Achaemenids and sought revenge against the heirs of Alexander.
