    The civilian model Heckler & Koch Mk23 was released sometime around the USSOCOM model was released, mid to late 1990s. There are differences between the civilian and USSOCOM model. Such as slide engraving, frame colors (depended on what year civilian model was made), and a SAAMI-conforming barrel. Other than that, Mark 23 is still the same pistol as the Mk23 MOD 0.
