You were a healthy young person, yet teachers were constantly sending you down to Baizhu’s office with the excuse that ‘you looked rather ill’. It eventually became routine. Baizhu began to expect your visits now, and found himself enjoying them now that you’d become more comfortable with him; and it was no longer like pulling teeth to try and get you to chat with him. However, he knew something was the matter with you, and was determined to get it out of you eventually, with patience.
