Proterosuchus is a semi-aquatic predator that resembles a crocodile, but with a hook-like overbite that is used to grab struggling prey. They are solitary, but gather along riverbanks. They're rather slow on land, but in the water they're agile hunters. Proterosuchus spend most of their time hunting fish and Temnospondyls, but they go after Lystrosaurus during the latter's migrations. They are larger than Lystrosaurus.
