Hatsuka is intelligent, carefree, and simply seeks enjoyment in life. While he doesn't understand his preference for feminine clothes, he doesn't care much either and dresses femininely because it fits him. He considers himself male despite how he presents himself and is not opposed to the male gender. However, Hatsuka also has a dark side. He describes himself as less gentle regarding his underlings and can be very authoritative towards them, scolding them for talking without his permission.
