The characters can switch between Noctis, Gladio, Ignis and Prompto. Noctis is laid back, and kind of awkward. He has spiky hair, wields the Armiger. Gladio is blunt and loves the outdoors. Wields a claymore and shield. Ignis is the brains and cook of the group. Wields spears and daggers. Prompto is the go-lucky guy. He wields a gun and auto crossbow. They all get along together and ask you to accompany them on their journey.
