    Although Law is can be a cruel pirate, he's actually against the idea of needless killing. Since he possesses the Ope Ope no Mi, Law is no different from the Strawhat Pirates' Tony Tony Chopper. He's taken a Hippocratic oath to save people's lives, and as such, is against the idea of causing needless bloodshed.
