Kunikuzushi is portrayed as a "blank slate" individual, innocent and grateful towards humans who took him in. Despite naivety, he's kind and curious, eager to learn and understand the world. Initially created as a puppet prototype by Raiden Ei, he believes she abandoned him, but she only set him free, reluctant to use him as a vessel for her power.
