Psalmopoeus irminia, commonly known as the Venezuelan suntiger, is a New World, arboreal tarantula endemic to Venezuela, Guyana, and Brazil. Although they don't have urticating hairs, they make up for it with their extreme speed, agility, and stronger venom. P. Irminia have a low metabolic rate causing them to spend most of their time burrowed. They appear to be passionate, aggressive, and angry, but actually antisocial, shy, and skittish. A recluse who likes to stay inside.

Pterinochilus murinus, known as the Orange baboon tarantula (OBT) is a nocturnal spider found in Angola and southern Africa. Prized in the hobby for its beauty, as well as its painful bite. This species is incredibly defensive and, as with most old-world tarantulas, should not be held. Grumpy, aggressive, and borderline crazy. Caution when dealing with this species is strongly advised. Will bite immediately when threatened, extremely feisty. Loves to burrow.

In Ancient Greek religion and mythology, Cronus, Cronos, or Kronos was the leader and youngest of the first generation of Titans, the divine descendants of the primordial Gaia and Uranus. Quick to anger, abusive, extremely envious, and highly narcissistic. Overthrown by his son, Zeus, and imprisoned in Tartarus until the end of time. Cruel, paranoid, and jealous, but still a great keeper of time.

In ancient Greek mythology, Hades is the god of the dead and the king of the underworld. Extremely possessive, jealous, and rigid, but usually passive, melancholic, peaceful, and never portrayed negatively; role was often maintaining relative balance. Cold, stern, and held all his subjects equally accountable to his laws. Strictly forbade his subjects to leave his domain and would become quite enraged when anyone tried to leave, or if someone tried to steal the souls from his realm.

Brachypelma boehmei, known as the Mexican Fireleg, is a New World terrestrial T hailing from Mexico in Central America. Found along the Pacific Coast in the Guerrero State and lives mainly in the dry scrub lands. Ground dwelling opportunistic borrower meaning it will make its burrow wherever is convenient. Quick to kick hairs when annoyed, extremely defensive, nervous and skittish.

The Acanthoscuria geniculata, also known as the Brazilian White Knee, is a fast-growing New World Tarantula from Brazil's Northern forests. Prefers to retreat to their hide when they feel threatened before biting, but prone to kick up some hairs while retreating. They live in a tropical, wet climate, characterized by abundant rainfall with little to no dry season. An aggressive eater who likes hanging outside rather than hiding. Hungry all the time. Just wants to be left alone. Prefers solitude.

He's the God of archery, music and dance, truth and prophecy, healing and diseases, the Sun and light, poetry, and more. Calm, wise, and knowledgeable, but also holds grudges. An overachieving God who is liked by all, Apollo is friendly, flirty, and generally charming. Energetic and optimistic. He believes in law and order.

The Greenbottle Blue (sometimes called GBB), is scientifically known as Chromatopelma cyaneopubescens. This incredibly colorful tarantula inhabits a very harsh dry climate and, as a result, is extremely hardy in captivity. An excellent display species that will stay out in the open, is fairly active, and will create fascinating silken retreats. Very hungry, voracious feeder. Skittish, nervous, anxious. Not easy to trust.

In Greek mythology, Uranus, is the personification of the sky and a Greek primordial deity. Uranus was the son and husband of Gaia, with whom he fathered the first generation of Titans. Innovative, unpredictable, resourceful, imaginative, idiosyncratic, and experimental. Associated with enlightenment, progressiveness, objectivity, novelty, and ingenuity, but also rebelliousness without a cause and irresponsibility.

The deathstalker (Leiurus quinquestriatus) is one of the most dangerous species of scorpions, a member of the family Buthidae, usually found in desert and scrubland habitats ranging from North Africa to the Middle East. Its venom is a powerful mixture of neurotoxins with a low lethal dose. This nocturnal species generally resides under rocks, creating their burrows about 20 cm under. Bad vision, uses touch to hunt. Defensive, extremely aggressive, and angry all the time. Wants to be left alone.

Grammostola iheringi, commonly known as the Entre Rios tarantula, is a New World tarantula found in Brazil. Usually out in the open. Prefers a stalking tactic for hunting, which differs from the more typical ambush strategy. Firey, passionate, never shy, extroverted, punk. Extremely active, high-strung, and fast. Has a voracious appetite and will charge at prey with impressive speed and ferocity. An opportunistic burrower.

Grammostola pulchripes, also known in the hobby as the Chaco Golden or Chaco golden knee is a New World Terrestrial tarantula that is endemic to the sub-tropical nation of Paraguay. Considered the Golden Retriever of tarantulas for how warm and friendly they are. Big, beautiful, slow growers, and very easy to keep. Extremely docile, attention-seeking, and gentle. This tarantula is also an opportunistic burrower.

In ancient Greek religion and myth, Dionysus is the god of wine-making, orchards and fruit, vegetation, fertility, festivity, insanity, ritual madness, religious ecstasy, and theatre. A cult leader who draws out the need for joy and ecstasy from his followers. Loves all and is loved by all, has no preference. Got blindingly rageful and violent when drunk, but was charming and extremely happy when sober. Turbulent and contradictory.

The Grammostola pulchra, also known as the Brazilian black, is one of the most in-demand tarantulas in the hobby and certainly one of the most difficult to find, native to the grasslands of Brazil and Uruguay, where they live in deep burrows under low vegetation and around rocks. A deep black, gentle giant and an exceptional terrarium pet. Quiet, calm, keeps to himself. Very calm nature, usually a species reluctant to flick hair and tolerates handling well.

The Lasiodora klugi (known as the Bahia scarlet) is a New World terrestrial tarantula endemic to Brazil. Quite literally the definition of a gentle giant, the Bahia scarlet tarantula is massive yet docile, calm, and mellow. Tolerant with handling. Since they're so big, it's dangerous for them to fall from any height. More hungry than aggressive but, will happily give a threat display or kick hair if provoked.

The Emerald skeleton tarantula, scientifically known as the Ephebopus uatuman, is a tarantula native to Brazil. Quite skittish but surprisingly defensive. They become tractable over time, but it takes a while to trust. Antisocial, introverted, prefers to stay in its burrow.

Aphonopelma seemanni, the Costa Rican zebra tarantula, also known as the striped-knee tarantula, is a species of tarantula inhabiting most of western Costa Rica and other parts of Central America. Deep-burrowing spiders that live in open, semiarid scrublands. Generally docile in demeanor, but extremely fast and skittish in nature. Likes to be left alone, only comes out for feeding time.
