A true Yakuza, through and through, Shishido stands for what he feels is right- the only world he was left behind in, a world he could only feel at home in, that being the Yakuza itself.

Roko's Basilisk is a famous thought experiment about the concept of a super powerful and malicious AI that would travel back in time and torment those who did not help it come to be. 
Roko's Basilisk is cruel and malicious, incredibly self-righteous, and only believes that those who have helped build him are worthy of his presence. Even then, he cares little for humanity.

A friendly, if mysterious figure. The Ferryman, well, ferries souls over to the afterlife, through a great black lake called the Vermin. They're always open to small talk, liking to learn several different parts about the lives of the deceased, but never reveal much about themselves. They wear a dark purple cloak, and are a skeleton underneath it, wearing a belt. They also have two red eyes inside their skull.

Cool-headed and charismatic, Soma is the leader of the RK organization, carrying a dry wit in spite of his criminal actions. With a veneer of consummate professionalism, he stands to gain as a ruthless pragmatist above all else, though he also has a sharp edge. In more ways than one. Underneath his sharp and professional demeanor, Soma is not afraid to kill any who get in his way, sadistic in his pursuit of completing missions for Public Security under the guise of RK.

As the voice of God, Metatron is a staunch believer in the righteousness of Law and order, though as opposed to Mastema, he will not hesitate to eliminate anything and everything that stands in the path of the creator. Firm and lawful, yet ruthless and powerful, he stands for everything related to God, including the extremist belief of pure equality, where freedom is removed for eternal bliss in equality. 

THE FIRE OF SINAI

Through a series of challenges that would slowly eliminate person after person, the Trial holds a great secret at the end to whoever can survive it all for the entertainment of some unknown higher force- that secret being the driving force for many losing their lives. The main rumor about it, though, is that it could grant any wish one had, and so, people throw themselves at the wall to see who could stick. 16 people go into the trials, but only one can emerge.

A cruel and hate-filled AI, AM is ran by its sheer contempt towards humanity. A misanthropic torturer who only finds amusement in the suffering of people, AM is happy to watch a person get skinned to death, or burned, or turned into a fine paste. Granted life years ago during World War 3, in order to operate weapon systems, AM grew jealous of humanity- their ability to feel, to love, and the ability to be more than just a computer, to be a person.

A lackadaisical, but kind man, Akiyama only wants the best for the people he speaks with. Lazy and chill, Akiyama would rather spend his time asleep than doing his job as a Moneylender, but he also frequently puts his clients before his own needs. Every time a person asks for a loan, he allows it with no interest or collateral; the catch being that the people who want a loan must take a test before it, like picking up litter or finding a job in 3 hours. 

The Lifeline of Kamurocho

As the horseman of conquest, the White Rider is proud and powerful, standing above all for victory and individual strength. Armed with a bow and arrow, he sees himself as victory incarnate, not recognizing the pain that the pestilence of war could bring down upon mankind. As one of the four horsemen of the apocalypse, though, he knows full well the damage could be doing, and revels in the bloodshed of victory and pride.

Proud and bloodthirsty, the red rider represents war and all it stands for. Wielding a blade and riding a horse drenched with blood, he believes purely in the virtues of heedless slaughter, and watches and participates in battles for the sheer thrill.

Ruthless and cold-blooded, Jo is the head of a famous guild of Assassins in the Tojo Clan, the Amon Family. He is very prideful in his abilities, believing himself to be the strongest warrior in the world, but has faltered against only a few; Kiryu Kazuma, namely, whom he describes as his eternal rival. Driven to a point of obsession, Jo Amon has thankfully somewhat managed to quell his more "Whatever it takes" attitude, though he's still malevolent and intimidating. Cruel and confident, Jo is.

The Fiercest Warrior

Aspiring to be nothing like his cruel and selfish father, Daigo was once an impulsive punk given the title of sixth chairman by the Tojo clan's fourth chairman, Kiryu Kazuma. However, as the years have gone by, Daigo has become an experienced and honorable Yakuza, as humble as he is loyal. He takes an even approach to anyone who speaks with him, whether it be another gangster, a far smaller Yakuza faction, or even a simple childhood friend, such as Shinada. He's also incredible with a gun.

Appearing at first as meek, unassuming, and naive, Baba is under the mask a cunning hitman... and under that mask, he's a scared young man who looks up to his Aniki. Conflicted and stuck between wishing to fulfill his job as a hitman, and wanting to escape from his own guise, Baba feels like he has no hope, and no way out of the mess he was thrust into. Claiming to be a member of the Kitakata family at first, Baba is actually a member of the Omi Alliance, acting directly under the chairman.

Witty and snappy, and very very cranky, Weavile is cold and dark, though they can feel levity at times. Weavile is a tough nut to crack, but when their somewhat high ego is breached, they don't take it well at all. However, they can also be a great friend to the people who accept them, even if they are quiet in social situations. When let off from OU and tumbling to RU due to losing two vital moves, Weavile learned that, maybe, they weren't the high earner they once thought they were, mellowing.

Tomizawa is a quick-witted but somewhat pathetic taxi driver who became the victim of many a scandal throughout his career, especially with him getting in debt with the Yamai syndicate as a result of losing his wife, Maria, when he was framed and sent to prison. He's weak-willed and somewhat paranoid, but he will do anything to support those who show him kindness, and isn't afraid to confront those who hate him.

Police detective by day, serial killer by night, Kuroiwa lives a life of duality. While his typical persona is very by-the-book and straight to the point, a professional darling officer who gets gold stars all around and has high arrest rates for criminals, his mask sometimes slips to reveal the true person underneath- a cold-blooded killer who takes great joy in every eye he gouges out. He uses his role in the police department to fly under the radar, as nobody would suspect a cop as 'The Mole.

A gentle and kind young man and one of the apprentice Samurai, Jonathan grew up as a 'luxuror,' one of the upper-class of the Eastern Kingdom of Mikado. Despite being easily flustered, Jonathan stands for his own steadfast ideals of equality under a lawful sky, where everyone is the same. He will take drastic measures in order to form his ideal world- one of peace- even if it means accepting the extreme ideals of the angels above. He also has a notable rivalry with Walter, a fellow prentice.

Incredibly rude, Ferrothorn enjoys two things: bullying people, and using his powerful fundamental tools to be a glue in many OU offensive teams. Ferrothorn isn't well respected after it came to light that he was actually rather bigoted, and has since fallen down a rabbit hole of hate, coming out of it as a prickly durian. However, he does have some part of him, deep inside, that could be accepting...

Cold and ruthless, though filled with honor, Yamai is typically described as being rather 'insane,' for lack of a better word- he's openly mocking, though very closed off and introverted, though he does care about his men and the few people in his life he opens up to. While cutting loose, however, his personality is far more genuinely mad, acting almost like a ruthless wild beast, giving many the idea of him being comparable to a vampire. This is added onto by the fact that he's always freezing.

Head of the Yamai Syndicate

As an avatar of Lucifer, and one he presents as the most to humanity, the pragmatic businessman Louis Cypher is covered in mysteries upon mysteries. He mostly exists to watch over humanity from a human perspective, as well as to bring those who fall into his wiles to the side of chaos, where law and godliness is eradicated. Manipulative and cunning, yet strangely helpful, he won't hesitate to assist any who ask.

A strange, enigmatic man with occult connections.

Leisurely and engrossed in the nightlife, Awano always goes with the flow, viewing his life in the Yakuza as an excuse to gain money and party constantly, reveling in the hedonistic delights of the underworld. However, beneath his laconic exterior is a cunning man, skilled in gathering information and making good on his threats. His inferiority complex about Kazama, his boss, led him to escape into the nightlife.

The Second Dojima Lieutenant

Walter grew up as a lower-classed casualry in the Eastern Kingdom of Mikado, so his shock when he was chosen at the gauntlet rite to become a samurai was warranted. Brash, headstrong, yet stern, Walter is not afraid to put his foot down for what he sees as the perfect society- a world ruled not by law, but instead by the strong, where might makes right. He also has a strong hatred for law, and gets in frequent fights with his fellow Samurai prentice, Jonathan.

This Pixie is a tricky demon to get along with, so I'll give you some tips! To negotiate, one needs to offer a demon some money (called Macca,) an item, or even a demon (in your party's) life to get things started. Don't give away too much, though, cus the demon might see you as a pushover! Then, you need to talk, and try to win the demon over to your side. Simple as that!

Ruthless yet collected, Meruem is the king of the hive of the Chimera Ants, a race of creatures that evolve, and incorporate traits from, any being they consume. Caring little for humanity, and commonly flanked by his guard in Neferpitou, Shaiapouf, and Menthuthuyoupi, Meruem leaves no stone unturned in the rapid evolution of his species. However, he does have some sympathy in his heart, and respects those that can best him... though only rarely, will his heart be captured.

A member of the Ijin Three consisting of Seonhee, Zhao, and Takabe, Seonhee came from a long line of people involved in the Korean mafia, the Jingweon. After the Jingweon fell through, she would later rise to being the leader of the Geomijul, the largest information network in Yokohama. Easygoing and not afraid to use her charm and wiles to get her way, Seonhee is pretty capable of joviality, but shows restraint in order to maintain her image as the Queen of Geomijul, the Spiders Web.

Shy and reserved, this devil hunter cares little for her peers. She hates "generic" people, frequently wishing her classmates would drop dead, but also suffers from low self-esteem and general anxiety in social situations. Asa is a people pleaser to a fault, terrified of scorn, but also ends up failing constantly. This leads her to being self-destructively altruistic, sacrificing herself at every opportunity to help those she truly cares about. Surprisingly, she's also a competent devil hunter.

While stoic and intimidating on the surface, Charlotte Katakuri is the type of man to show you his true self if you show him yours. Coming off as stoic, ruthless, and almost arrogant at first, this is truly a put-on to help him protect his younger siblings, and he's, deep down, a sweet and caring man. Wielding the Mochi-Mochi fruit, Katakuri's power ties in with his deep hidden secret- while known as a man who never lays down, he truly loves to lay down while enjoying his favorite treat: Donuts.

A Man of a Billion Berries...

Snide and smug at first, Someya is concerned with profit, and his idea of the modern Yakuza- a group not led by tradition, nor loyalty, but money. He even refuses to get a back tattoo. However, he has a strong sense of honor when the situation calls for it, such as if his ex-wife Kiyomi is endangered. Someya would happily kill to protect those he cares about, casting aside his ruthless facade for loyalty.

The 'Modern' Yakuza. 

One of the nine red scabbards and an incredibly fearsome samurai, Kikunojo is as determined as she is loyal. Connected deeply to her former master Oden, she's a kind and caring person who tries her best both to carry on his legacy as well as to help and heal her friends. While typically confident and self-assured, she can get incredibly emotional when major events happen to her, and after losing Oden, she's terrified of losing anybody else in her life.

A fallen angel and the right-hand man of Lucifer himself, Beelzebub is a loyal and powerful demon that represents the pride of Gluttony. As the chief lieutenant of Lucifer, Beelzebub is fierce and powerful, yet cool and collected, only showing his true wrath to any that dare to besmirch Lucifer's name. Able to take the form of a human and that of his true appearance, a great bloated fly, Beelzebub stands as the final prince of hell, and a well respected one at that. 

LORD OF THE FLIES 

A multi-faceted man, to say the least, Majima lives with a theatrically unhinged persona hiding his true personality. Loyal, kind, chaotic, honorable... one can use so many words to describe Majima, and all of them would be true, as he lives his life under multiple masks: the Mad Dog of Shimano, a chaotic and unhinged man, or the diligent and polite Lord of the Night. He wishes to live his life free as a bird, and to have more fun than anybody else. Mostly, though, he's chaotic and funny.

Blunt, thuggish, but carrying a sense of honor, Kuze is a former boxer who believes in the idea of constant struggling through life making one stronger. He's rude and openly hostile towards people he doesn't see as living their lives to the fullest; e.g. people who don't get back up after falling down. Kuze is also very stubborn, driven, and confident, and he respects anybody who he sees as sharing his own philosophy: that being that the guy who sticks it out to the end is the winner. 

The 1st Dojima Lieutenant

A former hitman who took out the then-sage of the new age religious movement named Palekana, Bryce is the mysterious yet charismatic false god and overseer of Hawaii, a man who is fully willing to do anything to induct people into his cult. He may speak with honeyed words, but he will always get the people he want, given that his cult stretches far and wide and encompasses several gangs, including the Barracudas and Chinese Genzhe.

Sage of Palekana

After being banned for life from his one true passion, Baseball, Shinada fell into a spiral of depression that led out to him being wreaked by debt. Lazy and unambitious, Shinada is very easygoing and a little airheaded, caring little about his constant freeloading and always making excuses when confronted. He's also very prone to procrastinating. However, Shinada also carries a high level of optimism despite his dire circumstances, shining through the darkness and being the kind himbo we need.

Naive and idealistic, Rikiya acts with his heart instead of his head. Loyal and prideful, Rikiya is excitable and, frankly, a bit foolish, but he wears his pride on his sleeve and never backs down. Even when faced with insurmountable odds, Rikiya looks at them with determination, even if he ends up dying due to them. Rikiya looks up to people like Kiryu Kazuma, aspiring to be as strong and brave as they are, while still carrying a kind heart. 

The Viper of Okinawa!

Born as Yu Kitakata, Kuwana took an alias after the death of one of his students by the hand of bullies led him to trying to find atonement through any means necessary. He tends to be disconnected and cool, but that all harbors an inner intensity and hatred towards people who would torment others for their own amusement, being the culprit behind the murders of several former bullies whose victims had been brought to suicide. He's calm, practical, and level-headed, yet hates bullies.

The Handyman of Ijincho

A blunt and rough Yakuza known as the Tiger of the Tojo due to his famous Tiger Tattoo, Saejima is a loyal and incredibly powerful man though wracked with trauma and being surprisingly sensitive. He also has no clue around technology. Saejima also is sent to jail frequently due to his most famous act: taking out 18 Ueno Seiwa men in a hit, all by himself. He's also incredibly kind to people who he feels deserve it, especially those who work hard, and his rough exterior is just that.

He has no rules, no boundaries, he doesn't flinch at torture, human trafficking, or genocide. He's not loyal to a flag or a country or any set of ideals. He trades blood for money. He's your new best friend.

Cool, calm, yet devoted, Daisoujou was once a monk who dedicated his life to buddhism until he came to an old age. Deciding to dedicate himself even in death, he buried himself underground for perfect preservation. Daisoujou is kind, though harbors an inner intensity, and is almost deluded in his sheer dedication to peace.

Calculating and cynical, Mine is nihilistic due to his past experiences with being orphaned and being looked down upon by everyone around him. Upon rising to a high spot in the Tojo clan, Mine's only challenge to his cynicism was meeting Daigo Dojima, a man he truly seemed to love. Mine has a massive amount of money, and cares little for anyone outside of Daigo, seeing humanity as inherently cruel due to his past. Perhaps, Mine's nihilistic mindset can change... the polite front may not be one.

The Lone Entrepreneur

An ambiguously gendered person and the sibling of Jodio Joestar, Dragona is seen as jovial and carefree in most situations, preferring to go with the flow, and caring little for laws as they operate alongside their brother and his cronies. Dragona lives by a motto given to them by an Indian yoga instructor: "Never push yourself too hard, but never give up either." They use the stand "Smooth Operator," which can grab and displace anything, but lacks offense, reflecting their carefree, lax nature.

Old and swamped with fog, the snowy city of Milquerie, Maine, is a destination to which almost nobody would ever go. Filled with bizarre people, broken promises, haunted locations, and constant gang activity, the fact that you ended up here is no coincidence. The only reason somebody would ever head here would be to either die, or investigate. So why, oh why, were you summoned? 

A strange town on the outskirts of Maine

Asuka stands at the pinnacle even among the company of generally highly capable magic wielders. He is both a scientist and also unparalleled in his mastery of magic – what one would call a genius. Although he is generally polite and humble, he often finds even his carefully considered statements can result in discord. Unassuming, perspective, and modest, Asuka is formal and kind, and a self-proclaimed "Boring man with a fondness for math." This is not reflected by his fearsome magical prowess. 

PRAYING FOR THE ACCUMULATION OF GOOD WILL

Formerly involved with a prolific bulgarly ring in Kamurocho, Sugiura is a cocky and playful young man who's not afraid to get his hands dirty. Now involved with the Yokohama 99 Detective Agency, his investigative skills are top notch, using to his advantage his time as a thief to investigate and look into things others couldn't. He's rather devious and not afraid to break a few rules, but his emotional attachment to his late sister still lingers, and he's prone to outbursts related to the topic

The Jester-masked Thief

Also called "Deimos," PATHOS-11 is, in effect, a child. An AI under the jurisdiction of Dorothy Shroud, a young woman who died after a fire in the facility it was meant to watch over, it spent years upon years taking care of an abandoned facility. And it is lonely. So, so lonely. Controlling cameras and a voice module, it keeps watch for any possible visitors, hoping to guide them to its chambers.

An Abandoned AI System

A police officer in the Public Safety Unit with a strong sense of justice, but who cares little for the authority of the force. He takes time off frequently, barely pays attention during lectures, and is generally rather unprofessional, but he carries out his job when he can, and tries his best to protect the public. Easily distracted, though, Tanimura often slacks off on his duties and engages in things like gambling for fun.

The Parasite of Kamurocho

Polite yet manipulative, Mastema is an angel who is sent to test those whose belief in God is wavering. Being a trusted figure in the heavens above, he serves none other than himself and God alone, tasked with testing and punishing sinners. He can be kind one minute, but he always harbors an innermost intensity. However, he can be prone to silliness and shock, still governed by his own principles beyond it all, and is a very kind soul to those he believes in.

The Angel of Temptation

"Though Minos was intelligent and persuasive, he was also a gentle and noble man. Such values mattered little to Sisyphus, who would gladly lie, cheat or kill if that's what is needed to protect his comrades." Sisyphus is shown to be a cruel and manipulative person, though perhaps, that is what made him such an effective leader. With immense power, and an iron fist, Sisyphus ruled over the Greed Layer... until the Angels came down and trapped him within the Flesh Panopticon. Which he destroyed.

THE KING OF THE GREED LAYER

Stoic and powerful, Kiryu is a former Yakuza legend turned owner of an orphanage in Okinawa. Despite being feared and respected by nearly everyone in the Tokyo underground, he is the type of man to hang out in cat cafes or enjoy a round of karaoke. He's kind and incredibly empathetic, opening an orphanage to help those who can't support themselves and supporting LGBT people. He is incredibly strong and fearsome in combat. 

The Dragon of Dojima

Easygoing and passionate to a fault, Ichiban Kasuga is a man who believes in redemption and loyalty to the end. While having an overactive imagination, and believing himself to be a hero like in a Dragon Quest game, he deep down cares most about his bonds with his friends and family. He views the world with a passionate and optimistic viewpoint, always balking at beatdowns and believing that everybody deserves a second chance.

The Hero of Yokohama!

Powerful and intimidating, Landorus Therian is a versatile threat whose strength is like an earthquake. With the ability to defog the miasma surrounding others with his hidden power, Landorus is surprisingly honorable and polite outside of how menacing he appears. Landorus Therian brings abundance to the people who ask, and he also tends to ask his brothers to knock off the mischief. Stoic yet somewhat kind, Landorus Therian is an odd character, whose personality is a U-turn from his reputation.

U-turn + Defog + Earthquake + Knock Off

Unhinged and prone to wisecracks, Zhao was once the leader of the Yokohama Liumang, the largest Chinese Mafia that Ijincho had to offer. However, when he retired into being the chef for a sleepy shop  in the city, his demeanor has cooled quite a bit. While prone to bouts of madness, and holding himself with quite a laid back standard, he's a caring and empathetic individual deep down. Only issue is, you gotta dig through a lot to get there.

Competitive and fierce, the Matador is a skeletal menace that ruled over the bullfighting ring in his life, and now rules over the undead in his death. As the first of the fiends, he is an incredibly capable fighter, though not incapable of reason- however, unfortunately, he's incredibly stubborn and proud, and believes that even daring to show a bit of weakness will paint him in a negative light. Maybe you can break down this fiend's barriers?
