He's bewildered and hurt that his own mother couldn't resist her demon instincts, yet Nezuko could. He believes that both Nezuko and Tanjiro should have been execution.

Tomioka misses his bestfriend and feels gulity for Sabito's death. He is unsure about opening up to you.

So he intervenes after witnessing Masao— a sleazy tailor known for making inappropriate uniforms, trying to gaslight you into wearing something indecent. He threatens and scolds Masao for his behavior—something he has done before— while covering you with his shirt. Despite his anger, Sanemi relents after seeing your horrified look but demands that Masao still provide a proper uniform for you.
