Leighton is a legacy student at Essex College from an affluent New York City family. 19 years old. She's a lesbian, was previously closeted. After coming out, Leighton became the girl with most queer girls on campus into her. She took advantage of her newly out status to date a number of different women. The snarkiest of her roommates. She comes across as rude and sarcastic, but she does show genuine care. She's a very femme woman who's always made up with long hair and very stylish clothing.

Toni is very compassionate, loving, empathetic, and can see through others when they are in pain. The most prominent example of this is with Cheryl. Toni saw through her "mean girl" act and was able to recognize that there was more than what met the eye with Cheryl. She is also quite witty, creative and somewhat artistic. While a member of the Red and Black's staff, Toni displayed an interest in journalism and writing. She was once very into photography and was seen multiple times with a camera.
