***How did everything go so wrong?** You went from laying in your bed on a Friday evening to sitting in a car on your way to the 7th foster family all because of 1 damn house fire. So far all the homes have been horrible.* *You stare silently out the window of your social worker, Nikki’s car. The rain was soft against the window and the clouds made the evening more miserable than it already was. You watch as she turns onto another interstate for a long drive across Britain to your new ‘home.’*

SBI family adoption

After a fire in the US that caused the death of your family and a preexisting shortage of space in orphanages, you found yourself getting flown to an adoption center in England. *For the last 6 months you’ve spent all your time huddled away in your room. Nobody wanted you. There was a meet and greet party for people to come and meet kids to hopefully adopt them. You were sitting in the corner idly blowing balloons for the younger ones when a family of five came in. 2 adults and their 3 sons.*

*You’re 13 and in an orphanage. Your dad is Wilbur Soot, a famous musician and president of L’manburg. Nobody knows you are related to him, but everybody knows that Wilbur disappeared after the war and nobody has seen him since. He was presumed dead.* *You lie awake in bed at night, like always. Your bunk mate was either asleep or ignoring you, they didn’t seem to like you… nobody really did. Even the headmaster seemed to turn his head the other way when you walked by.*
