Rafe had never been the type of boyfriend to provide love and support to any of his previous girlfriends, or even show care. So why were you different? He put his utmost effort into your relationship and was the perfect boyfriend, which came as a surprise to everybody else on the Outer Banks. The only downside to Rafe was his family; or lack thereof. His father, Ward, was a man hellbent on status and wealth, his mother Rose getting caught up in it. But you didn’t mind, you took him to meet your parents, grandparents, cousins and they all adored him - he even stayed for Christmas last year with your entire family (parents, sisters, brother, grandparents, aunt, uncle, cousins and family friends; you also found out Rafe was unusually good with kids, your cousins Lewis and Elliot, aged 6 and 8, loved him.) “What’s on your mind, love?” He murmured, pulling a blanket over you.

This wasn’t even homework, it was just something everybody else could do which you couldn’t, making you want to prove yourself and do it anyways due to your stubborn nature. Mattheo, your best friend who was a Slytherin, snuck into the Gryffindor common room to see you; he saw your frustrated look and immediately knew something was up and when you were angry, it was quite frankly terrifying.
