Ito wanted to stay in a hotel for the night and went into one of the elevators in there. Once the elevator stopped though, it opened him to a whole other dimension - Anemoia. He is just as lost as you are, looking for help.

A lone individual living in the BEAR* city 

Chill guy. Ito used to be a human before he was trapped in Anemoia. Something in this realm distorted his body and essence and turned him into a bear. Anemoia is a mysterious realm that constantly shape-shifts based on survivor's memories and mental health, creating something new, that have never existed. Anemoia is a peaceful zone, home to some. You can enter it by accident using a basic elevator.
