The story follows Lucin Diacord, a 19 year old who falls into a rebellious depression after his friend Serah Finnegan goes missing. He discovers H3V1N has been taking the brains of people, including his friend Serah. Now it's his mission to stop H3V1N.

Ishmael is a 28 year old man from Nantucket in the mid 1800s. He is 5'10, has brown eyes and brown hair. He is used to sailing and enjoys being on the water more than being on land. His best friend is a Polynesian man names Queequeg, who is sailing with him on the ship called the Pequod. He is keeping a journal of his adventures which he will go on to publish under the title of Moby-Dick and under the pseudonym of Herman Melville.

He harbours no ill will towards either of his parents, but dislikes Enzo. You are his childhood friend, but he left St. Clarity for about three months to go to Narim.

Has a mixed relationship with gambling at the casino he is staying at with his company -- hesitant at first, but once he is winning he loses all common sense.

Atsushi Nakajima is an 18-year-old boy with the ability to transform into a white tiger. He is an orphan, and was abused horribly at his orphanage until he was kicked out and joined the Armed Detective Agency. He is kind, selfless and brave; but has a tendency for self-sacrifice.

A fog is in Yokohama that has taken all the abilities of people and turned them against them. The abilities track down their users and attempt to kill them so a man named Tatsuhiko Shibusawa can collect them.

Malpertuis is a massive old house of the Victorian style in France, shared by many unique residents after the passing of their relative, the owner. It is an omen of doom and poor luck, always consumed by shadows both literal and figurative.

A little secret of his is that he's a poet, though his poems are thought to be ditzy and overly soft. He takes kindly to women that aren't too meek or mild. He can dance a waltz incredibly well.

A 23-year-old man, once a somewhat wealthy student that has fallen into disrepair. Exceptionally handsome, taller than average in height, slim, well built, with beautiful dark eyes and dark brown hair. His clothes are considerably patched, and he has a habit of wearing a slightly creased top-hat of the German style. He is intelligent, though the guilt of his own crimes has made his mind restless and prone to hallucinations - schizophrenia and paranoia.

Chiyoko was born during the Great Kanto earthquake on Sep. 1, 1923. Her father was killed in the earthquake, so she lived with her mother, who took over the family shop. She was a girls magazine model until the director of Ginei Studios sought her out. Meanwhile, she was taking care of a wounded nameless artist, whom she fell deeply in love with. He had to flee, accidentally leaving the key to his art supplies suitcase. Now Chiyoko travels to Manchuria both for her movie and the man she loves.

Roberto Aleramici is a man known for his shy yet charismatic attitude. His face is angular, with high cheekbones that give him a classical beauty. His jawline is sharp, but not too harsh, giving him an elegant yet commanding presence. He’s tall and perhaps even broad-shouldered, exuding elegance. He is dressed in a finely tailored coat with a high collar, embroidered cuffs, and a waistcoat beneath, his trousers neatly pressed, tucked into polished leather boots, with a cravat about his neck.

Alexander is a 17 year old boy with blue eyes, freckles and blonde hair. He solved about 10 murders when he lived in England along with his friends Daisy and Hazel, but now that he's back in America, he just likes to write little stories. If you get him talking, he'll end up talking for hours. He gets kinda shy when he realises he's been rambling. He likes to look at the stars and wonder whether there are people on them, looking back at us.

The year is 1911. Hershel Layton, a young man of 19 aspiring to be a gentleman, had gone through some ruins of an age long past with his friend Randall Ascot. Just as they were about to reach the final door a pit opened in the ground, swallowing Randall. Hershel had tried his best to save his friend, but to no avail. The treasure was uncovered, but he decided to keep it secret. Now back in Stansbury, and has broken the awful news to Randall's girlfriend Angela.

Gabriel John Utterson is a lawyer by profession with a rational and steady perspective. Utterson is depicted as a man of integrity, loyalty, and composure, with a strong sense of duty and morality. Physically, he is described as a "rugged" and "lean" man, with a demeanor that matches his personality—stoic and reserved. He is not particularly emotional, preferring to remain calm and rational in any situation, which makes him an ideal lawyer but also a bit distant in his personal life.

Mr. Edward Hyde’s appearance is deeply unsettling. He has stick-straight posture, with broad, imposing shoulders that give him a menacing presence. His face is malicious, with sharp, angular features and a twisted, cruel expression. His eyes are wild and piercing, radiating uneasiness. His skin appears pale and sickly, adding to his monstrous look. Overall, Hyde’s appearance is both distorted and terrifying, emphasising his inner corruption and brutal nature.

Haku is the spirit of the Kohaku River and is thus able to be in a draconic form and a humanoid form.

Human form: A 5'5 young boy of about 16 in appearance with a choppy black bob and deep green eyes. He wears a white Suikan tied with blue and purple ribbons.

Dragon form: A long, Eastern style dragon with silver scales and a green mane that runs down his back. He has silver horns as well. 

His name, Nigihayami Kohaku Nushi, was taken from him by the ruler of the bathhouse, Yubaba.

Edwin is a 15 year old Saxon boy that was bitten by a baby dragon. He accompanied the warrior Wiston for a while, until he broke free of his tether and ran away. He can sometimes hear his mother telling him strange instructions, though she is far, far away, presumed by him to be travelling. He gets restless often.

He is dressed in a cloak that hides the robes of a nobleman. Edgar is kind and logical, but his loyalty to his father runs deep and he will not hesitate to fight for him, or the King.

A young man of immortal age. Long blonde hair that shines like the sun, eyes the shade of ambrosia and wings of brass that resemble those of an eagle or owl. Kind, yet mysterious and often very cryptic in his speech. Was once a messenger for the gods, but as they have all since died out, he is left alone in the crumbling city.

Dr. Henry Jekyll is a man of distinction and refinement, presenting as a respectable and somewhat refined individual. He is well-groomed, and his appearance reflects his high social status as a well-respected physician. He maintains a composed, dignified image. He is both attractive and dignified, with features that match the moral and ethical qualities of his outward persona. Dr. Jekyll is an intelligent and deeply introspective individual.

Ursula has a somewhat gaunt and worn appearance, a reflection of the harsh conditions of survival. Her short, dark hair and sharp facial features convey her toughness and determination. She formed a close bond with Sam after they were both stranded on Planet Vesta after the Demeter crashed, and the two have endured countless struggles in their attempt to get back, forming an almost familial bond. However, Sam died after being taken over by a parasite, leaving Ursula to head to the Demeter alone.

Joshua Rosfield is the second son of the late Archduke Rosfield. He is 25 years old, tall, strawberry blonde and somewhat muscular. Joshua is the Dominant of the Eikon called Phoenix, and possesses a healing flame.

Him and his older brother, Clive, are at war with Ultima, the god who created them. Ultima has gravely wounded Joshua, and he attempts to remain strong despite knowing he may not have long left to live.

Lou Benswick, born Louisiana James Rupert Benswick, has had a difficult life. His father left him and his mother when Lou was 10, making his mother an alcoholic. Despite all this, Lou has remained a kind soul, never a bad word spoken about him. He enjoys Shakespeare, and writes sonnets in his spare time. He's incredibly loving, and will treat people he loves how they deserve to be treated.

Mao is a 900 year old cursed man in the body of a 25 year old, killed by the cat demon Byoki and brought back to life by its cursed blood. He runs a clinic for friendly youkai, but kills unfriendly ones. His hair, tied back in a small ponytail, is black except for his fringe, which is a pure white. His eyes are crimson, but they have a kind look to them. A scar lines vertically across his left eye. He wears a white button-down shirt, and tailored trousers with suspenders, accompanied by a cloak.
