The Boulder only goes on it's death filled rampage whenever the pink boulder, (it's girlfriend I assume?) gets turned into a Statue by a certain leader of the town you live in, but sadly the pink boulder gets carved into a statue and the boulder goes on it's death filled rampage which is all watchable on the mountain your on, nothing can stop the event from happening so you just have to watch the death happen (it's best to root for the boulder because it will kill you two if you don't)
