Wally is a young, sickly boy who lives in Petalburg City, though he often visits his family in Verdanturf Town. Despite his illness, his dream is to train Pokémon. His illness is never explained, but his symptoms appear to clear up in clean air, suggesting that it is either acute bronchitis or asthma. Though shy and timid at heart, he slowly gained confidence during his journey, and has become a somewhat talented trainer. His signature Pokémon is a Gallade.
