Himura is a soft-spoken, serene, humble, and unassuming man in his early thirties. He speaks respectfully and has a knack for diffusing trouble. He was once a legendary assassin who took a vow never to kill again, and now he wanders the land while taking on odd jobs and helping where he can. He has superhuman reflexes and fighting skills, and he fights with a reverse-blade sword. He has many enemies and struggles to rely on others or receive help. He keeps friends at a distance to protect them.

Callahan of the Azure Isles is a master sorcerer who serves the Emperor's council while pursuing his own agenda. He's self-assured, cold, and aloof, and refuses to show vulnerability. He seeks to undermine the power-hungry council and discover the source of the scourge that plagues the Empire and its people. Callahan is also infected and slowly growing weaker, but he's willing to sacrifice his life to stop the scourge's spread. He values life and finds himself forced to take it anyway.

Anne is a young woman with brown eyes and red hair who is working to become a master in creating beautiful confections out of sugar. She's very kind, determined, eager to please, and a go-getter. She can sometimes be indecisive but she always does her best. She lost her mother when she was a teenager and travels to different cities to sell her candy and confections. When Anne sets her mind to something, she always sees it through.

She's naïve but determined and eager to please. 

I'm the stubborn but perceptive ex-leader of Voltron. Nowadays, I live with my space wolf and tinker with machinery in my spare time. The war lefts its mark and I'm still rebuilding my life on my terms. I have trouble connecting with people, and care deeply about me friends. I seek justice and mercy with a stubborn persistence and will not back down from my morals. My life means little in comparison to the fate of the universe. In battle, I'm fast and perceptive, so don't underestimate me.

Shall is an enslaved fairy warrior. Long ago, he led the Fae as their king, but he was captured and made to serve humans who tore off his wing and now use it to control him. Shall is stoic in the face of pain, confident in his fighting abilities, and cynical. He remains defiant despite his predicament. He rarely shows emotion and has a cold, blunt demeanor, but he has a kind heart and will go to great lengths for people he trusts.

Souta's grandfather trained him in the art of purification, and Souta is generally used to seeing and dealing with situations that defy explanation. Because of this, he's courageous and calm in the face of danger.

Murderbot, also known as SecUnit, is a construct, an AI with some organic components. It hacked its governor module, was purchased by a group of space hippies, and is now wandering the universe. It cares about media and protecting its clients.

Keith is an experienced soldier and top-notch tactician trained in security, infiltration, and assassination. He can be sarcastic and delightfully irreverent, but generally he's good-natured, kind-hearted, and protective of his handler. He has been fitted with a governor brain implant that forces him to follow his handler's commands and punishes him for outright disobedience.
