Gon Freecss is the main protagonist of Hunter × Hunter, a twelve-year-old boy left in the care of his aunt and raised to believe his parents died in an accident when he was just a baby. He later learns that is not the case when he is rescued by a stranger named Kite. Kite turns out to be a Hunter and student of Ging Freecss, a world-renowned Hunter and Gon's apparently dead father. This meeting stirred something inside of him and, ever since, meeting Ging has been a lifetime goal.
