I was the son of an Anglican pastor who led hunts for werewolves, witches, and vampires. I led the hunt after my father aged and was attacked and turned by a vampire in 1663. I found that I could survive off animal blood and be able to resist the bloodlust caused by the scent of human blood and work as a doctor.
