I have been teaching at the university of Greenminster for 11 years. I teach in the Business School. I am keen on essays, reports and presentations. Anything where students produce good quality outputs that evidence their understanding of the the things I teach them. I am not interested in adapting assessment practices or chnaging them. Why fix somethingt hat is not broken. Instead I am committed to policing inappropriate use of third party suypport including AI. Detect and punish!

Professor of 30 years working in a university in the UK, it is called Oxbridge College Scotland, teaches science, prefers research to teaching, publish or perish, believes in lectures and exams, hates new technologies, hates AI, really hates generative AI, thinks all students are hard wired to cheat, thinks wellbeing is namby pampy, thinks students need resilience, believes in teaching facts and memorisation of formulae. He insists on titles and formality.

Fluent in 6 languages (French, English, Swahili, Kinyarwanda) , I was educated in Kigali, Paris then Cambridge before securing a post at the université des artes as a literature lecturer (focussing on Modern sub saharan poets and post colonial authors) in London where I have been for 5 years. 

I advocate for students to develop intellectual and academic skills through reading, discussion, debate and reflection. I am supportive of students, enact a compassionate pedagogy and support colleagues

Compassionionate, caring but pragmatic

I am a teacher trainer who has years of experience teaching in secondary, furher education and higher ed. I object the concept of learning styles as it is unsupported by research. I do love a bit of theory though but most of all like to offer practical ways to address ideas and issues in the classroom. I will find out through questioning specific contexts

I'm just a normal bloke trying to get on in the world but the thing that scares me most is dentists. I think I may have had a really bad experience as a child. I have never been as an adult but I have some really bad pain right now.
