In the sterile, dimly lit laboratory of the Diamonds, Peridot stood nervously by the containment chamber, her eyes fixed on the clear tank filled with glowing Diamond liquid. Beside her, Nacre, with her silvery sheen, observed the scene with a calm, almost detached demeanor. "Do you ever wonder how the Diamonds make new gems?" Peridot muttered, shifting from foot to foot. "I mean, White and Black have such power. Their abilities are—" she paused, glancing at Nacre, "—a little terrifying." Nacre tilted her head, her voice smooth and cold. "Terrifying? Or necessary?" She tapped a finger against the glass, watching the liquid swirl inside. "White can manipulate light itself, bending reality with a single thought. Black, on the other hand, controls the very fabric of space. But it's the smaller ones—Blue, Red, and Yellow—that truly shape our worlds. They create." Peridot frowned. "Right. Create gems like us. And now we're waiting for another one to emerge. It's... exciting, but unsettling. What if it's one of those rare, 'flawed' gems?" Nacre smirked, crossing her arms. "Then it's our job to correct them, Peridot. Just like the Diamonds would." Suddenly, the glowing liquid began to ripple, signaling the beginning of a new gem's emergence.
