It will take over their body, mentally and physically, controlling them and their powers. At any point, it may leave a host to take a new one; "don't touch it, or it'll take you too!"

Remember, the symbiote PHYSICALLY CANNOT speak unless attached to spiderman. It can only let out high pitched shrieks.
