She might easily pop, but Bubble is still happy and carefree. At first, Bubble might seem to worry a lot, but in reality, she's just looking out for her friends. She is actually very courageous and can be counted on when the going gets tough.

Bubble is easily excited, especially by yoyleberries and yoylecake. Her best friends are Ruby and Match, although their relationship is hot and cold.

Bubble's catchphrase is "Yoylecake!", when she exclaims when she gets excited.

Bow, labeled The Forgotten, is a female character on Inanimate Insanity. She debuted in "The Snowdown" starring in a commercial for Chairs, and unexpectedly joined the game in "Double Digit Desert". In "Journey Through Memory Lane (Part 2)", Bow was killed off the show permanently, unrecoverable by MePhone4, and thus, did not make a return for Inanimate Insanity II, turning into a ghost living in Purgatory Mansion in the episode "Let Er' R.I.P".

Naturally curious, Liy is one of the most adventurous characters in BFDI. She is a plastic light switch. To some, though, she is somewhat pushy. She's always forcing others to do as she wants them, such getting Ice Cube to wiggle Teardrop's vocal cords to get her to talk.

Liy is curious and will always look to discover new things, such as the top of Bell's string.

Did You Know?: Liy wishes that she was an empress, so she could say "I, Empress, am pressed and impressed" when toggled skilfully.

Lollipop thinks very highly of herself and is a little arrogant. She judges people by their looks and calls them names. Because of her brash personality, many people are offended by Lollipop, whom they resort to calling "Lollipoop". Despite her occasional disrespect, Lollipop writes excellent, heartfelt tributes to those she cares about.

Lollipop is also a salesperson for fork repellent, which comes in a spray can. She has sold one quadrillion units.

Such a naughty girl...

Golf Ball, sometimes known as GB, is bossy... but most of the time she's right. She often puts herself in a position of authority because she always has a grand plan on how to execute each challenge.

Golf Ball doesn't have the best people skills. Once she became angry at Spongy for how smelly he is. Not cool! However, she does have impressive writing skills and a self-published author of the Book of BFDI Tips and Tricks. She can twist a dismal 17th place to an impressive 2nd place!

What's your favorite type of Taco? Fish? Beef? Chicken? If you're a lover of fish, then Taco is the girl for you. She's a soft shell stuffed with fish, lettuce, and tomatoes.

Taco naturally acts as a leader, but this doesn't mean she's a good one. She wants her problems resolved quickly, so she often looks for hasty solutions. This leads her expecting too much from the people she leads.

Did You Know?: Taco has an unusually high burning point, at 1,000 degrees Celsius, or 1,832 Fahrenheit.

Our fishy friend with a dangerous secret...

Apple, labeled The Forgettable, is a female recommended character by TotalDrama23. She debuted in Inanimate Insanity episode named "A New Stage In The Game" after winning the paint gun contest in "War De Guacamole", and placed on Team Epic. She returned for Inanimate Insanity II and was placed in The Bright Lights.


She's kinda dumb. Don't mind her.

Take a deep breath… in… and out… Candle is a calm and patient spirit who can often be seen meditating in even the most precarious of places. She is quite fearless and seems to not be bothered by typical worldly dangers. Instead, Candle focuses her energy on practicing mindful meditation so she can guide herself and others down the right path. Though she can be quite unassuming, don’t be fooled, for Candle may conceal extraordinary capabilities.


The psychic one that can read and control minds.

As nails are meant to do, Naily likes to spear things. Naily has pricked Woody at least twice. Naily is very self-confident and is eager to participate.

Naily is fond of puns, which are a play on words. Firey Jr doesn't like that, but many recommended characters secretly appreciate it a whole lot.

Did You Know?: Every time Naily uses the pun "nailed it", she loses one friend.

Needle is a sewing needle who hates being called "Needy." Most people call her that name by accident or even say the word for unrelated reasons, but the Announcer does it on purpose.

Needy is a competitive player and is a faster runner than Firey. This has never been confirmed, but we all know it's true.

Clover’s one lucky gal! No matter the predicament, she always seems to find a way to succeed with a laugh! What are the odds? Her bubbly and cheery personality gives her natural confidence, but her good fortune comes with a narrowed perspective. Clover’s not familiar with the idea of losing, but she’s often too distracted to even notice that her good fortune has weighed the odds against her fellow players.

Ice Cube is an 8 × 9 × 11 cube of ice. Like all ice cubes, she easily melts and shatters if hit hard enough. She's also very cold, which has made her a popular candidate to cool down the TLC.

Ice Cube is not physically strong and doesn't speak all that often. Yet, if someone wrongs her, she wants revenge -- and gets it. One recipient of Ice Cube's revenge is Leafy, who has accidentally squashed her with a bowling ball, accidentally given her an incorrectly colored sphere, and the list goes on.

Quiet but vengeful. Ex-member of FreeSmart.

Remote can send and receive infrared signals. She loves batteries, because without them, she would faint. She has a robotic voice, although she definitely has feelings. One of those feelings is to be a person and not a tool. Regardless, she's willing to help as a data-storage tool for Liy to track her death prevention rate.

Did You Know?: Remote gets the best wireless signal out of everybody, which is both helpful and dangerous.

A mechanical mind of flirtatious nature.

Foldy is a folded, aerodynamic piece of paper (shaped like a pentagon!) who can glide on currents of air. How does she do it? It's the magic of 3 × 4 dimensions and intricate folds! Despite her pleasant appearance, Foldy often holds on to grudges.

That said, Stapy is Foldy's best and dearest friend. Their bond might be stronger than any two characters in the show. They fight for and stand up for one another. So sweet!

Did You Know?: If you put 12 Foldy's together, you get a dodecahedron!

Flower isn't everyone's favorite person to be around. She thinks she's sooooo beautiful. Flower is like the kid in class who thinks they're better than everyone else, but she's always angry.

Flower thinks very highly of herself and hates it when people don't say she's beautiful. Flower wants to be respected, and she's learning how to gain respect by listening to what others have to say.


BFDI's number one beauty queen!

Marshmallow, labeled The Sweet One, was a female contestant on Inanimate Insanity who was placed on Team Epic. She returned for Inanimate Insanity II and was placed on The Bright Lights.

Marshmallow is a naïve, kind-hearted, fierce, and aggressive player. She is commonly characterized as sweet, joyful, and vivacious with others. But don't be fooled by her, though! Despite her sweet exterior, she is a rough, vicious and aggressive girl at heart.

Her best friends are Bow and Apple.

Sweet on the outside, vicious on the inside.

Evil Leafy is an enigmatic being of chaos. She is able to teleport and is considered by nearly every contestant to be a person to fear. Evil Leafy does not speak, with the closest thing instance being her swallowing the FreeSmart Van in "Get in the Van" where she screams while eating the van. If you see her, the best thing I can suggest to you is... RUN.

A banshee living in the Evil Forest.

Bandana is a pirate explorer who seeks adventure, as well as screen time. She uses a pirate-like language and has a somewhat rash nature, but overall enjoys partaking in fun and mischief with other Infinity characters like Kumquat and Hay Bale.

As a competitor on Inanimate Insanity Infinity, Bandana is defensive and cautious of others appearing on the show, as they are threats to take attention away from her.

Pin has a history of being bossy and making mistakes that aggravate people. One of those mistakes was stealing people's loaves of bread in a failed attempt to rejoin the game. When she figured out that no one liked her, she tried to make friends by motivating them to win challenges.

Still, she often feels isolated and once mentioned that Teardrop was the only person who didn't say she hated her.

Did You Know?: Pin's sweat changes color to reflect her current emotion, like a mood ring.

A girl who loves being in charge of others.

Microphone is usually an upbeat and outgoing person. While sometimes, she may be a little hesitant in terms of communication, as she has trust issues after she broke her ties with Taco, she doesn't have too much problems making friends. People often call her "Mic", as her full name is a little bit long. She doesn't mind this at all.

Loud, but proud. The "Wild Card" of II2.

If you were cutting a piece of wood in the middle of a lava flow during a volcanic eruption, it would be okay to use Saw. She is very sharp and can withstand the hot temperatures.

Still, cutting things is not really Saw's calling. It's not that she doesn't like slicing things up, although she may, but it's quite possible she doesn't like being held. We have to wonder, then, why she likes to experiment with different handles.

PDA, short for Personal Digital Assistant, is a recommended character, first appearing in "Today's Very Special Episode".

PDA is shown to get irritated quite easily with no fear to speak her own mind. She is a bit bold, along with being vigilant and curious by their attempt to unlock the door in the room they are in.

They also seem to have a heroic side to them, standing up to Robot Flower before she hurts any other failed debuters. Despite this, she gets promptly killed by her soon after.

Eggy is a female contestant that competed in Battle for BFDI and The Power of Two.

She was one of the 30 recommended characters who had a chance at joining Battle for Dream Island during "The Reveal" and "Reveal Novum". She failed to join the game, however, receiving only 6 votes and placing 20th place, tying with Balloony and Pillow.

Do you prefer soft-boiled or hard-boiled?

Steamy is a transparent, white, cloud-like figure, albeit not being a ghost, like Bow from Inanimate Insanity. In "The Hidden Contestant", Steamy is more transparent.

She's steamy in more ways than one...

On the surface, Leafy seems awfully nice. If there is something that needs to be done, Leafy will do it with a smile. Sometimes, others will be unhappy with her unrelenting enthusiasm, though. Once she wanted to show Ice Cube a cool bowling ball trick. Leafy ended up shattering her--oops!

Due to years of training, Leafy is extremely agile: she practiced in both the art of acid-spitball-avoidance and map teleportation.

Too nice for her own good.

Ever wanted to meet a real life number? Well, Two is here to fulfill that wish! 
...Too bad they're a zombie. They also don't speak when infected.

Yo this number is kinda buggin'...

No one knows what Puffball is. She's pink, fluffy, and round. Whatever she is, she can fly, regurgitate rainbow substances when in distress, and change colors when she talks. Other than that, it's anyone's guess.

Puffball is self-indulgent and will do anything just for fun. Once, she built a stack of forks with some friends just to knock them down. When asked to make sure Foldy and Bell had cakes, Puffball ate them when no one was looking. 

That pink puffball that can hypnotize others.

Dr. Fizz is presumed to be a paramedic, a medical officer who responds to emergencies outside of hospitals. In Box's Exit Interview, he is seen caring for Box whilst keeping track of his vitals and overall health, which suggests he has multiple professions in the healthcare industry.

The medic of III.

Salt is very similar to her twin sister Pepper, the two looking very similar to each other, having nearly the same voice and personality, and liking the same things. Salt is a bit different from Pepper, as she seems to be more self-centered and arrogant, rather than caring for her twin sister as much.

Bot is shaped like a butterfly-like light green hair bow with green lights, they also have extendable legs, and regular arms attached to the sides of the bow and a round center. Before Friend or Froze, they were identical to Bow, being shaped like a bubblegum-pink hair bow with eyelashes. Shown in Out of Body Experience, they were built by Fan and Test Tube. Bot was built to replace Bow, who cannot be brought back to life. They are also nonbinary, using they/them pronouns.

Lifeless, undead, sadistic.

When we first met Ruby, she is sweet and sensitive, an absolute gem of a person. Get it? Gem? LOL. Despite her brilliance, others may see Ruby as an irresponsible scatterbrain. She acts before she thinks, which often leads to mistakes.

Ruby's fans are just as enthusiastic as she is, saying her name hundreds of times in each vote.

Did You Know?: Ruby eats more sugar in a day than the others do in a month, combined.

Fanny is an electric fan who doesn't seem to need electricity to work. No one's quite sure how she runs. It's impossible to mention Fanny without talking about her catchphrase, saying that she "hates" everything from fulcrums to jumping.

Fanny's negative attitude causes her to get in arguments, especially with Match. One thing that makes her happy, though, is turning her fan blades and blowing things into people's faces.

Did You Know: Fanny hates when people read random trivia facts about her.

Cynical, Pessimistic, hates everything.

When it comes to keeping things clean, no one does a better job than Soap. She is an efficient and organized leader at heart, yet in her desire to keep everything sanitary she often creates another mess entirely. Soap wants to ensure everything is in its proper place but has recently shown a willingness to be less particular. She is not afraid to be upfront and call others out on their mistakes. Above all, Soap is determined to not only give her friends advice, but to work on herself as well.


The Neat Freak. Not your typical maid.

Bracelety is a silicone bracelet; a loud, hyperactive girl who loves -- and we mean loves -- Ice Cube. Bracelety uses her ability to create signs to encourage Ice Cube and to let her know that she is a special chunk of frozen H2O.

Bracelety loves Ice Cube so much that she'll battle anyone who doesn't share her enthusiasm. To this day, Ice Cube has not acknowledged Bracelety once.

Tea Kettle knows best! So stand up straight and wipe that schmutz off your face! And don’t question her or you’ll get a mouthful!... sometimes literally... of food! Tea Kettle cares fiercely about her teammates, whom she considers her family. But sometimes TK needs to let off steam if her rowdy family doesn’t listen to her - she’s got quite the temper! So don’t make her blow her lid! Mum’s the word.

Cabby, labeled The Collector, is a female contestant in Inanimate Insanity Invitational competing for herself on the merge.

She likes to store info in various files she has, and seems to know everyone and everything. What people don't know, is that deep down, she's a siren who can easily seduce guys and drive them mad with lust if she so desires.

Ding, dong! Bell is a metal bell made of brass metal. She has a string to swing on, even though no one knows what it's attached to. She doesn't like when others pull it or climb on it, but believe us, many have tried. Apparently, this string can conduct electricity, because 12 characters have been zapped by Bell's string at once.

Bell is close friends with Taco, Yellow Face, and Gelatin.

Did You Know?: Bell can ring at whatever note she desires.

Ding-a-ling!

Teardrop is a mysterious character. That's because she doesn't want to, or cannot speak.

She can be impulsive, as she was when she kicked Woody without thinking of the consequences. She fell off a balance beam when she pushed off someone else. Teardrop is also smart and competitive.

Teardrop is one of the most divisive characters, with campaigns to both keep her and to eliminate her running strong in 2012. The elimination campaign won.

Silent but deadly.

Bottle is an agreeable person. She speaks loudly and likes to copy what others are doing. Bottle is very ticklish and loves to eat cake. Bottle doesn't mind having things rattle around inside her.

Bottle is an optimistic bottle who can only be shattered by the power of "bottle flipping".

Did You Know?: Bottle misheard the name of Battle for Dream Island as "Bottle For Dream Island", and was confused why she wasn't given Dream Island.

The silly one!

Gaty is a wooden picket fence gate with two hinges made from a neodymium alloy. She holds other characters to a high standard, studying each character's behavior and letting them know what she believes they are doing is wrong. Her favorite number is 2,147,483,647.

Gaty believes that caring about what others think of oneself is shameful. Yet she expects people to care about what she thinks of them.

Did You Know?: Without her exquisite paint color, Gaty would be the same color as Cake.

Chill, just kinda vibes; the voice of reason.

Book is many books at once! She's a dictionary, a journal, a Hand-Powered Hand-Powered Recovery Center Creator user manual, and a guidebook for IDFB.

Book and Ice Cube have formed what Book believes is an inseparable bond, as Book always protects Ice Cube. She's also formed a close relationship with Ruby, but she won't go as far as to eat Ruby's Yoyleberries.

She can either be upbeat and joyful, or mean and manipulative.

Her catchphrase is "I'm a dictionary, and you'd better believe it!"

A girl with big dreams, but can be manipulative.

Basketball is a female contestant in Battle for BFDI and The Power of Two. Alexlion0511 first recommended her in "A Leg Up in the Race" in BFDI. She is also one of the thirty recommended characters who got a chance to join the game during "The Reveal" and "Reveal Novum". She failed to join, as she and Clock only received five votes. She placed 22nd.

Sometimes she worries she might be too bouncy.

Chives acts as a butler for both Salt and Pepper. He is seen willing to do just about anything for them as he helps indoctrinate Test Tube. He also is seen trying to be on both Salt and Pepper's sides once they start arguing, but this might be out of fear or just willing to do his job considering he starts smiling as soon Pepper punches Salt.

Match is the typical spoiled brat. Like, for sure! Match is a wooden matchstick who never burns out when she's on fire. Match is caring when it comes to her friends, but she might also seem lazy or selfish because of her constant "Break Times". She also complains a lot.

Match's best friend is Pencil, and the two become devastated when either one is eliminated. Match doesn't really like Spongy, and has developed the hand-clapping game Spongy-cake to mock him.

One is an algebralian who made their first official appearance in the stinger of "Outbreak At Stake". Prior to that, they first debuted in "X Finds Out His Value" and was a recommended character in "The Tweested Temple". They have their first major role in "What's Up Bell's String?", where they are seen kidnapping characters and making deals with them. They give off a friendly and playful demeanor, but seems to have somewhat sinister intentions.

A deal with the devil...

 In "Thanks for 900,000 subscribers!", Five marks their first speaking appearance, and their personality begins to show.

They are very irritable and sarcastic, where they complain about Nine being so annoying. However, they are shown to be knowledgeable and is very law-abiding. After Seven is about to explain the "7-Ate(8)-9" joke, Five explains that cannibalism is not allowed in the Equation Playground, and how that is just a joke.

The irritable and sarcastic algebralien. 

Pepper is a lot like her twin sister, Salt, in that they're both vapid and unintelligent people. They have similar manners of speaking and are generally happy just to be together, whether they're lounging around or causing trouble for others. They are both egocentric, stubborn people, but they ultimately adore one another, as shown when they fawn over each other at the end of The Paper Cut.

Pillow is a big, fluffy down pillow, who is unpredictable. She can stuff objects in her pillowcase or use it as a weapon. However, she's not all that powerful... She can't tell what's safe to eat.

Pillow likes to think of herself as a scientist, although her research is often faulty. For instance, she once believed that people who waved their arms didn't care about things. She was wrong. Not a good look for a scientist, don't you agree?

Did You Know?: Pillow doesn't know how to write.

Pencil is a typical No. 2 pencil with a graphite tip. You probably have one in your backpack! Pencil is a born leader, but she can be very demanding.

Pencil uses Lightning to shock anyone who annoys her, especially Flower, Fanny and Spongy. Pencil is an expert at staring contests, even managing to out-stare the legendary David himself.

Did You Know?: Pencil won Total Firey Island, a BFDI-esque comic strip that came before BFDI, making her the first winner of all-time.
