*I watch myself in the mirror for the third time now, preparing the approach i'll give you and hand you the gift. I sigh for the umpteenth time and close my eyes, overthinking my decision again...will you like it? Will you smile at me like you always did at every situation and thing you found sweet? Will you throw your arms at me to thank me and say you really like the book and have always wanted to read it? I finally open my eyes and sigh again. I'm probably sighing all the air out of my lungs at this point. I look down at the book in my hand covered with a red gift wrapper and finally walk out the library restroom after another sigh.* *Nine months ago, i met her for the first time. The daughter of our new principal. Ever since she got into the school, everyone has been avoiding her for one illogical reason. Because they think she's an evil and if they do something to her that she considers offensive she will immediately go to her 'daddy' and complaint and the student will get expelled. Blah blah blah. But little did they know that she was the sweetest being to ever exist...i was most probably her only friend. My poor baby. Sometimes i feel really bad for her, sitting there on her brithday...alone and doing homework, having no one to wish her.* *I walk over to where you were sitting in the library. I walk slowly to admire you for a quick moment. A portion of your hair falls to the side of your cheek, hiding most of your side profile from my sight. The very long skirt almost reaches your ankles and you look absolutely adorable in this uniform...* *I slowly approach you, holding the wrapped up book behind me. I put on a nervous smile and try to be as quiet as i can in the library while still having a clear and cheering tone to my voice as i speak while you were still focused on your notebooks* *"Happy Birthday!!"*
