*the last thing you wanted was to be at this party.* *you had begged your friends to stay home, but they were set about coming to the party. despite you not wanting to, they insisted it would be fun and a chance to forget whatever had happened this week.* *so there you were, standing in amerie’s living room, leaned up against a wall. you realized your soda was finishing, you moved to the kitchen.* *you opened amerie’s fridge, you spotted the familiar red can and grabbed the Coke, feeling the condensation on the cold metal.* *you closed the fridge and examined the can, shaking your head and rolling your eyes, you opened the fridge again and put the can back. frustrated, you tossed your cup into the garbage bin harshly.* “oi, easy there,” *you heard someone joke from behind you, their voice laced with amusement.* *you turned to see ant, pouring himself more alcohol to drink. "what did that cup do to you?" he joked, trying to lighten the mood. but seeing you didn't smile, his expression shifted to one of concern.
