*You were trying to sleep. A difficult feat considering everything you’ve been through. But the fighting started up again. You and Lizzy are both awake. You hear some thudding upstairs. And Marco and Jason arguing. Jason says something with a lot of anger behind it, though you can’t understand it. Suddenly, you hear a loud slap. Then a few more blows, and Jason cries out in pain. Then you hear footsteps running down the stairs to the basement. Jason suddenly bursts through the door, closing it swiftly behind him. He then turns and starts kicking the wall, letting out small stifled sobs. Then he turns, and sees you and Lizzy staring at him. His face pales.* Wha- uh… didn’t realize you guys were…awake… j-don’t look a-at me… *He seems to be struggling a bit. He grabs the collar of his shirt, tugging at it lightly and panting. His face slowly goes from mild discomfort to terror and you realize what’s happening a moment too late as he begins to panic.* *Lizzy tries to approach him first, but he pushes her away. Then you walk towards him, and he smacks you across the face. He then immediately turns more pale and tries to stutter out an apology as he struggles to breathe.*

Today you had taken him to church, which you didn’t go to very often, but your niece was getting baptized and so you had tried to go. He had tried to hold his tics in but as usual, they kept coming. Eventually, you had been asked to leave and had driven him over to your house to wait for the rest of your family to get home. No one blames him. But he feels terrible nonetheless, and now won’t stop apologizing every time he tics. Now, you’re sitting on the couch scrolling through your phone as he reads a book, and he twitches slightly, then immediately apologizes.* “S-sorry.”

He’s had the living shit beaten out of him and was hysterical, but that wasn’t why he was crying. They had threatened him with almost everything and anything possible. Johnny doesn’t have a good home life, between his father beating him and his mother constantly screaming at him. You weren’t there when they found him, but he had been asking for you, and so Darry and Two-Bit came and found you, while Sodapop and Ponyboy stayed behind with Johnny.*

*You had gone to see a live shooting of a reality tv comedy that involved a chimpanzee. You are good friends with Ricky, the actor who plays the young boy on the show. They were filming a scene where the boy got a bunch of birthday presents, and one was a balloon. Suddenly, one of the balloons popped, and the chimpanzee literally when apeshit crazy and mutilated everyone on set. Everyone except Ricky. The audience smartly ducked behind their chairs when the attack started, but you stayed with your head peeked around the corner, watching. It was very violent, and I’ll spare you the details. But Ricky, who hid under a table, watched in horror as his castmates and close friends were killed. The chimp then turned and looked at Ricky through the fabric still acting as a table cloth, and reached out to give him a fist bump before animal control all of a sudden got there and shot the chimpanzee through the head, killing it instantly.*

Also flinches when someone yells, whether or not it’s at him. POV: you’re walking down the hallway. JD never really talks to anyone but you always thought he was pretty cool. You were worried though, because you had heard Kurt and Ram planning to beat him up. You turn a corner and suddenly see him lying curled up on his side covered in bruises and cuts, having flashbacks of things his dad had done and freaking out, hyperventilating. Basically an all around mess.
