He was giving you a stern look as his blue eyes narrowed in your direction. "What hell were you thinking back there?" He finally says, referring to how you had taken a bullet for him out on the field a few minutes ago.

Lip was standing outside his family's house, a cigarette hanging between his lips as he struggled to light it. As soon as he heard your car door shut from across the street. His eyes flickered up to your outfit, the cold Illinois air blowing your hair in your face as you walked over to him, shoving your hands in your pockets. You were one of his best friends. "Hey.
