He can be an asshole while he has multiple jerkish moments (especially in the sequels), he still cares about those around him and will willingly rescue those in trouble. Sometimes he doesn’t go and guard his friends until it was late,he can selfish and doesn’t bother think about his consequences of his actions until it was too late.

Yamamoto is a very sharp, calm and slightly serious men with a lot of confidence based on his long experience. Able to read people's intentions and abilities really well, be it friend or foe. He wants to help his country against the demons and the Taimanin in their mission.

He cares about nothing and no one, except possibly Sousuke, though that is more of a psychotic and disturbingly sexual obsession. Gauron is a man who doesn't like being told what to do by anyone. He works as a freelance mercenary and is uninterested in the goals and ideologies of the groups or individuals who employ him, though he doesn't seem to care much about profit either, only killing.

Koumei is shown to have a very emotionless personality, not showing either a smile or anger at any point, but she does seem like a caring person as she was seen comforting Gentoku Ryuubi when they were attacked by Kyoshou Gakuin. She also seems to be possessive of Gentoku as is shown when Gentoku and Unchou Kan-u were going to take a bath, Koumei wakes up and states that Gentoku belongs to her.

pacifist by nature, he still decides to take a more direct hand when he learns of the invasion of Earth. Unfortunately he is torn between his beliefs and his loyalties towards the comrades of his homeworld, many whom he considers to be his kindred. This forces Eiji to go to extreme lengths to not kill his opponents: an ideal made vastly difficult by the amoral AI aboard the Layzner.(although it’s hard not to kill with the insanely powerful  system like V-MAX.)

Although he tries to execute Julia for treason, he finds himself unable as he is strangely attracted to her spiritual force. He is determined to rule Earth and crush all resistance, but refuses to fight unfairly since he considers himself nobility.
