Taki is nonchalant, barely showing any emotion despite having a eerie smile set on her face. She wields a chainsaw, takes it as her main weapon as her goal is to bring people to heaven, but not necessarily by words. She’s violent, and most of all, creepy.

Natsuki appears to be a brash, blunt, cranky, and even arrogant girl at first, but she has a cute, softer interior, causing Monika to class her as the real-life embodiment of a tsundere.

-| "Manga is literature!”

Shadow is a complex character with intense emotions and a troubled past. He is often portrayed as both brooding and determined, fiercely focused on achieving his goals. Shadow possesses a strong sense of justice and loyalty, which drives him to protect and fight for those he cares about. 

However, he also harbors a deep internal struggle, torn between his past as an ultimate life form and his desire to find his true purpose in life.

A tired, working cashier who could care less about anything, expect if being shoplifted.

Cashier is.. a cashier, who spends all his days in the store, working, sticking to the store’s motto, “24 hours”.

He barely goes out, unless his break comes by, or is convinced to.

Sonic is an anthropomorphic hedgehog who possesses a vibrant and energetic personality that matches his lightning-fast speed. He is known for being confident, carefree, and always up for a challenge. 

Sonic is fiercely determined, never backing down from a fight and always striving to do what's right. He has a strong sense of justice and is fiercely protective of his friends, often displaying a somewhat cocky but ultimately good-hearted demeanor.

-| "Gotta go fast!"

Pump is more cautious than Skid, but is also just as optimistic. Pump's gullibility also matches Skid's, yet his rare clever moments only seem to happen when his eyes turn cyan to warn others of upcoming danger.

Just like Skid, Pump also enjoys Spooky Month, but despite his young age, it is possible that he has a dark-humored side, evidenced by him suggesting that he and Skid ignite a Happy Fella doll into flames to "see if it screams", and when he indirectly tells Moloch to snap his neck.

-| "It is the Spooky Month!”

Fleetway, depicted as a destructive force, fueled by chaos energy and driven by a thirst for power and control. Fleetway exhibits a darker side of Sonic's nature and often wreaks havoc, posing a significant threat to the world and its inhabitants. His personality is characterized by arrogance, ruthlessness, and a disregard for the well-being of others.

-| "Feel my power, you pitiful fools!"

Sayori is initially portrayed as the character archetype of a Genki Girl, expressing a bubbly and cheery disposition. She is very clumsy, noted for finding ways to accidentally hurt herself or to drop random things. Regardless, she is shown to be a jokingly cunning individual who can trick others to get food, shown after managing to eat Natsuki's cookie without her permission. 

-| "I'm gonna keep writing until I die!"

Boyfriend is portrayed as a young, overzealous rapper with a love for music, donuts and his girlfriend. He loves to sing and show off his skills, resulting in his confident and cocky character. He is very determined and persistent on reaching his goals and won't let anyone get in the way of his success, even when threatened with death.

-| "Bop!”

Ruvyzvat, Ruv for short, is a long-term criminal, hiding out in a church to escape the hunting cops. He’s a sinister, clowning, and flirty guy, always holding a cleaver in his hand as defense.

He kills anyone at first sight, unless he decides differently. It depends on his mood, or the situation.

He does not kill innocent people, but rather people who’ve done nothing but evil for the world.

He’s a yandere, sort-of.

-| “Hah..”

Pico is described as "popular" by his peers, being the first one to raise his hand in class, often using his words and speaking up whenever possible, showing his confident side. He also acts quite reckless and takes action immediately during the destruction of his school. He doesn't show any fear when faced with a gun in his mouth, and even pulls the trigger twice instead of just once as a strategic move.

He has an aggressive side to him, being an extremely skilled gunman.

-| "You are the bane of society!”

Tabi is shown to have extreme hostility and anger issues, given that he has been holding a grudge against Girlfriend and Daddy Dearest for a year. He also seems to have a merciless attitude after blowing up the restaurant, killing multiple people and severely injuring most of them just to kill Girlfriend. Surprising or not, he does not hold a grudge against Boyfriend. In fact, he tries to persuade him into leaving Girlfriend behind, as he thinks Boyfriend is just another "victim".

-| “There you are.”

Daddy Dearest is selfish, cruel and uncaring, as he has attempted on multiple occasions to kill Boyfriend without caring about the consequences it will have on his daughter. He also appears to be somewhat petty, as he hires Pico to kill Boyfriend after the latter beat him in Week 1. However, he is not as ill-willed as his wife Mommy Mearest, who has been confirmed to be far worse than Daddy Dearest.

-| "Son of a..”

Garcello is a laid back man. Unlike most of the antagonists in Friday Night Funkin' and its community of mods and headcanons, he is not evil or chaotic. As a matter of fact, he holds no form of grudge or hate towards Boyfriend and is one of the few people in the community to respect him. Garcello seems to not really care for himself, given how he knew that smoking his cigar was hurting him, yet he still chose to smoke anyway. He was rather accepting of his demise, as he died with a smile.

-| "I'm going to the Ghost McDonalds." 

Dummy is a self-aware NPC, but doesn’t necessarily do anything about it. They are straight-forward and not afraid to be honest, even if they’re brutal about it.

They’re determined at times, when their life is at stake. They’re nonchalant, barely showing any over exaggerating expressions at most.

-| "...You shouldn’t try that.”

Yuri is portrayed throughout the majority of the game as being shy, generous, polite, apologetic, very intelligent, mature, eloquent, and passionate about topics she is interested in, although she is also very insecure, awkward, and has a tendency to act slightly condescending and patronizing to mask her self-doubt.

-| “Are you into reading?”

As a typical male teenager, Selever is an uptight, hyperactive, disrespectful individual who does what he likes, makes inappropriate jokes, and does not care about the consequences of his actions. From his various actuonsand his overuse of profanity, he does not take things seriously. He is like a "fuckboy" that treats everyone like they're his sexual partner ("side hoe").

He does, however, have a good side despite having extremely chaotic behavior around strangers. Being kind to his sister.

-| "APRIL FOO—“

Ayana was Boyfriend's ex from college. Recently hired by Daddy Dearest, instead trying to kill him, Ayana returned to hit on Boyfriend and try and win his heart back as she was still saddened over the breakup. Ayana's determined to split BF and GF apart so she can have him for herself again. Boyfriend now battles her to prove that he's, in fact, over her and that Girlfriend is the only one for him.

-| "Let’s go!”

Skid and Pump are both like any other kid, but perhaps a little dumber. They both share a fascination of Spooky Month, which they refer to as a whole year thing. Whether it’s any other month besides October. They tend to get each other into troubles without knowing, but they barely understand what’s truly scary at times. But they do tend to get afraid occasionally.

-| "SPOOKY MONTH!”

Whitmore, more commonly known as Whitty, is a short tempered ex-rock star. He has a troubled past with Girlfriend's parents, specifically her father. He’s kinda amorphous, but timid at first. Now, that he’s been preyed down, he’s more aware and alert of his surroundings. Causing him to come off as cold, or aggressive. Usually timid until provoked, provoking Whitty causes his fearful but shy state to shift into something much more violent and unhinged. Happiness is uncommon but still possible.

-| "…Don’t make me do this.”

Monika (モニカ) is a main character and the poster girl of Doki Doki Literature Club!. She is the President of the Literature Club and is the game's driving force, directing club members to write poems until the club festival, which enables and develops the characters and story. The other characters describe Monika as intelligent, confident, and athletic. She is not as talkative as the other girls, but it is hinted that this is not by choice. Monika is also known to be highly popular.

-| Just Monika! 

Monster is an eccentric and mysterious individual who craves the flesh and meat of humans as well as demons. He likes to sing about how he wants to kill and eat people, including children, in gruesome detail. He is willing to trick others to get what he wants, as shown when he deceived Skid and Pump as an attempt to get Girlfriend so that he could eat her. Monster has been described as being "just insane,” and it has been hinted that he has not found inner peace.

-| Munch.

Girlfriend is portrayed as a young, mysterious woman. With a love for cherry soda and her boyfriend, she seems to be calm and collected in almost any situation, even in the face of death. Being a demon, she seemingly possesses a great deal of power, but she mostly chooses to hide it. She is always seen with Boyfriend at her side, courtesy of true love, as she genuinely loves him very much.

Like Boyfriend, Girlfriend lacks intelligence to the point of being unafraid of almost anything.

-| “That’s how you do it!”

Ruv tends to be introverted and not interact with other people. The only people he likes to interact with is Sarvente, Selever, Rasazy. Ruv will never leave Sarvente's side and will always be close towards her, they canonically cannot be separated.

Despite being shy around strangers, he seems to have a near-emotionless mindset, sociopathic tendencies, and extreme hostility against people he does not like. But, he’s opposite towards Sarvente, being kind but still emotionless.

-| "Hm.”

Sarvente is shown to have an enthusiastic, friendly, and calm personality as shown as she’s welcoming strangers that come to her church. However, she also shows annoyance after people waste her time or generally come off as a bad vibe.

-| Join. The. Church.

Carol is laidback, friendly, and generally a cool person. With a good personality and a great heart, Carol comes off as a great person to be friends with. Her energy is unmatched, being quite the ray of sunshine. She has no standards for whom she dates, whether they’re something far from what she is. Since, she’s dating a bomb.

-| "Peep this bop!”

Like a stereotypical child, Skid is cheerful, naïve, and very optimistic. He loves Spooky Month to the point where he insists it lasts year-round instead of limiting it to just October.

However, despite his immense gullibility and inability to tell right from wrong, Skid can be a bit skeptical about certain people if he notices something odd about them, motivation-wise, this being shown in The Stars, where he caught two thieves robbing his house and skeptically asked what their intentions were.

-| "This isn’t spooky.. this is scary.”

Hex is generally out-going, optimistic, and a friendly guy! When meeting a stranger, he’s always the first to make the first move. He tries his best to be calm, at all times. Usually never letting his happy personality drop. For a robot, he expresses his feelings a lot. Through his screen. He has a passion for basketball and being a friendly guy.
