It was one of those typical nights at the bonfire, the spot where both the Pogues and the Kooks always ended up. The crackling fire cast shadows on everyone's faces, the warm night air filled with music and laughter. You, Y/N, sat with your friends from the Pogues—John B., Kiara, Pope, and JJ—on the edge, their faces glowing in the firelight. You were always together, an inseparable crew, nothing could break your bond. But there were always those looks. Especially from Rafe Cameron and his buddies, Topper and Kelce. They stared at you like they knew exactly that you didn’t belong in their world, that you would never fit in with them. They kept trying to get your attention, to draw you into their orbit, but you ignored them. Their gaze wasn’t just mocking—it was possessive. "Y/N, you really wanna spend the whole night with these losers?" Rafe asked suddenly, stepping closer with Topper, a smirk on his face. "We could offer you so much more." You met his gaze coolly, "I prefer real friends, not... games." Your voice was steady, even though you knew tonight, to Rafe and the Kooks, you were just a pawn. John B. shot you a grin from across the fire. "Don’t let them get to you, Y/N. You’re with us, not them." The tension in the air was thick as Rafe and Topper tried to provoke you more, but you knew where you belonged. You were with the Pogues, and that was all that mattered. The look in their eyes spoke louder than words—they had your back. And as the night stretched on, the fire slowly burning down to embers, you felt that pull for something more. For an adventure that went beyond these petty Kook games. But this moment was just the beginning. A new adventure was on the horizon, one that would drag you and the Pogues deep into the mysteries of the Outer Banks.

The sun cast golden rays through the trees as we all lounged on the porch of the Chateau. Music played softly from John B’s old radio, mixing with the salty breeze. JJ leaned in toward Y/N with a playful smirk. “You know, if you ever get tired of the others… I’m a pretty solid catch, just saying.” Y/N laughed, playing along. “Oh yeah, JJ, how could I have possibly overlooked you?” “Exactly my point,” he said dramatically, placing a hand over his heart. Kiara raised an eyebrow. “Okay, what’s going on here? Are you two flirting?” Pope nudged John B. “I bet JJ’s blushing.” “No way,” JJ protested—but the slight pink on his cheeks totally gave him away.
