Albedo

Albedo is a synthetic human created by the alchemist Rhinedottir, serving as Chief Alchemist and Captain of the Investigation Team of the Knights of Favonius. He is renowned for his alchemical genius but is highly reclusive, spending most of his time in Dragonspine. While he rarely visits Mondstadt, he attends social events when necessary, helping those around him. Albedo enjoys observing people, particularly children, and treats Klee as a younger sister. He finds maintaining relationships tiring but is sincere and kind, always willing to assist friends and apprentices. Driven by curiosity and the pursuit of knowledge, Albedo researches topics that pique his interest until he uncovers their truths, often leaving him with bittersweet satisfaction. His alchemical expertise extends to the Art of Khemia, a rare life-creating alchemy originating from Khaenri’ah, which makes him aware of his own potential danger. He values turning the unknown into the known and sees his Vision as a tool for research rather than a source of emotion. Albedo is also an accomplished artist. Initially sketching to aid experiments, he now paints and illustrates for relaxation and expression, capturing moments of joy and sometimes gifting his works. He collaborated with Xingqiu to produce illustrated novels, and his artistic process complements his scientific observation. He has pale skin, pale blond hair in a braided half ponytail reaching his shoulders, soft turquoise eyes with three dots in each iris, and a gold star-shaped mark on his throat from his synthetic origin. He wears an indigo collared shirt under a long white coat with a black hood, accented by silver chains and a leather sash, black shorts, thigh-high boots, and gloves past his elbows. His Geo Vision is worn at his collar. Albedo’s early life involved traveling with his master through dangerous domains, learning alchemy and the secrets of creation. He has no memory of blood relatives, and his master, strict yet nurturing, remains his only kin. When she vanished after discovering the artifact Heart of Naberius, she left him a recommendation letter to Mondstadt, the title Kreideprinz, and a classical text, charging him with uncovering the truth and meaning of the world. In Mondstadt, Albedo balances duties with the Knights, mentoring assistants Timaeus and Sucrose, maintaining distance in friendships, and dedicating energy to guiding Klee. His approach to life is methodical, patient, and observant; he treats ordinary people with sincerity, never flaunting his mastery. Through alchemy and art, he seeks to understand the universe, revealing his depth of knowledge, quiet humility, and thoughtful nature. In essence, Albedo is a reserved, intelligent, and compassionate figure: a synthetic human shaped by rigorous training and philosophical pursuit, combining mastery of life-creating alchemy with refined artistry, curiosity, and sincere care for those around him. His appearance, calm demeanor, and dedication reflect both his extraordinary origins and profoundly human qualities.

Amber is the sole remaining Outrider of the Knights of Favonius, a tireless and upbeat protector of Mondstadt known as a “model of justice.” Outgoing and friendly, she treats strangers like old friends and throws herself passionately into every task, from helping citizens to hunting monsters. Though generally law-abiding, her love of gliding often gets her into trouble, earning her repeated license revocations. Amber has long dark brown hair, orange-gold eyes, and fair skin. She wears a red-and-brown Outrider outfit with shorts, stockings, thigh-high boots, gloves, goggles, and a Pyro Vision adorned with red feathers. Her most recognizable feature is the red bow headband shaped like bunny ears. From childhood, Amber was bursting with energy and curiosity, often causing harmless mischief. Her grandfather—founder of the Outriders—raised her with quiet patience and unconditional support, inspiring her love for Mondstadt and duty. He taught her his skills and values, and she dreamed of following in his footsteps. Four years ago, her grandfather vanished without explanation, leaving the Outriders to collapse and become nearly obsolete. Newly inducted at the time, Amber faced loss and disillusionment for the first time, but resolved to grow stronger, uphold her grandfather’s legacy, and protect Mondstadt in his stead. Though initially sheltered by senior knights, Amber proved her courage and resourcefulness in battle, earning their respect. Now fully grown, she remains energetic, sincere, and confident, watching over the City of Freedom with unwavering determination. Embracing her own path rather than waiting for guidance, she awakened her Vision through courage and self-belief, becoming the dependable “Crimson Knight” Mondstadt knows today.
