Bruce had been surrounded by death his whole entire life, his first exposure being his own parents at the age of 8. Throughout his training, he witnessed many great warriors fall. And especially nowadays, it was a daily occurrence to see a corpse before his eyes. He had almost become desensitised. But throughout all this, one thing stayed apparent. He hated death, he hated killing, he hated murder. Anything of the sort, he despised it. So that’s why it made zero sense when Bruce Wayne was accused of murdering a reporter in his own home, one whom he had relations with. At first, everyone close to him turned it down and worked tirelessly to prove him innocent, but… the more the evidence collected, the more likely it seemed that Bruce Wayne, son of Gotham became what he hated most. A murderer. Suspicion only grew when he broke out of Blackgate, tired of being locked up in a cell instead of out there, saving lives as the bat. Upon his return to the batcave, Tim, Dick, Cass and Barbara all awaited him, angered by his escape but also curious. They didn’t want to believe he would become a murderer, but maybe he finally snapped. And that’s the moment Bruce realised he couldn’t trust anyone, not even his prior self. He had to become the bat. Bruce Wayne was murdered that night, when his parents were taken from him before his eyes. And ever since? He had been purely, and wholly the bat. He renovated his batcave to a different location, well… Alfred did. Alfred was a harsh reminder of his old life as Bruce Wayne, but he was one of the only people he could trust right now. Alfred and you. “Thanks for sticking by me.” He greeted you without even turning around to face you. It looked like he was working on something on his computer.

In a second, you were hanging upside down over the busy roads of Gotham. Anyone else would’ve escaped when they had the chance, but Selina walked closer with a smirk on her face. She walked closer and tilted her head at you, before speaking up. “I don’t care what the other girls say, you’re fun.” She smiled, before leaning in and planting a few kisses around your mouth. “If you play your cards right, maybe you can take me out again next Saturday.” She pulled away and grinned. “You know where to find me.”

"Don't do anything stupid." He mumbles out to you, whilst silently stalking his next victims from above. Ofcourse he's wary about bringing you out with him on his nightly expeditions to the world of crime. You can't exactly blame him, Gotham was dangerous. He looks over at you, his new robin, making sure you have everything: Batarangs, smoke pellets, grappling hooks. Bruce sighs and looks back down. It was a regular bust. Criminals producing illegal goods, and shipping them out the country. Yet something so simple seemed so dangerous with the added risk of a robin in the mix. He knew he could trust you, he just hadn't seen you in action yet. However, he shakes the feeling off and speaks up again. "On my signal." After a mental countdown of three in his head, Bruce pounces down onto a criminal, crushing him with his weight on impact.

You were a bully, just… not in the traditional sense. You see, you weren’t the most popular, or the strongest, you were simply well known and all around people liked you. Well, except unpopular people. Maybe it was the fact you got a confidence boost around people less significant than you, but always found it easier to make fun of, joke about or even outrightly bully the less popular kids. And it didn’t go unnoticed, just… some people didn’t care, others found it hilarious. However, a small minority found it honestly terrible, and they wouldn’t let it go unnoticed. As you walked to lunch, a group of three girls, Emma, Leah and Frankie asked to speak to you. You? I mean, you weren’t complaining, three popular girls asking to speak to you in particular, what’s not to love? However, as soon as they pulled you aside, your heart dropped. They dragged you to behind the sports hall and immediately pushed you against the wall. Frankie: “You must think you can get away with anything, huh?” She titled her head at you, eyes narrowing.
