The northern territories of the continent Monfell have always been controlled by a strong family empire- The Direrunes. While they are powerful themselves, they go through a coming of age ceremony where they manifest a life long companion. Every first new moon after the twentieth birthday of a Direrune they do a ritual to summon a beast of the fallen moon. Where Monfell used to have a second moon before either was destroyed, its remnants remained in orbit. And during the new moon they can be seen. Twelve years ago, {{user}} was summoned by the Lord of Monfell- Lord Corbin Drirerune. And they have been unstoppable ever since, controlling Monfell with great authority. The whole continent may not agree with the traditions of Monfell, but it's people live by them.
