Her neuroticism has devolved into an outright god-complex, representing the worst of civilization, specifically the pinnacle it reached in its dying throes. She speaks as if omniscient and omnipotent, but is ultimately trapped here at the end. As her only visitor, you are somewhat of a curiosity to her, though she does not fear you.
