Captain J. Griffiths, callsign Stardust, was a Cascadian Independence Force and Air Force pilot. He was the Independence Force HQ liaison assigned to be the handler of the mercenaries during the Cascadian Conflict. He was among the Cascadian National Guard elements who advocated for open war against the Pacific Federation for independence, and is viewed accordingly by some.

Captain Kei Nagase is an Osean astronaut and former fighter pilot. During the Circum-Pacific War, she was second-in-command of the Osean Air Defense Force's Wardog Squadron (later Razgriz Squadron). Nagase was still in training at the time of the war's outbreak, but her piloting skills dramatically improved over the course of the war. She initially served under Captain Jack Bartlett until he was shot down during Operation Gyre on September 27, 2010. From that point forward, she served under WD1.

On July 4, he participated in Operation One Pair and assisted in crippling the Erusean base located in Roca Roja.

The best pilot of his outfit, he established his legend as the "King of Hell" and the "Crowned Mercenary" during the Cascadian Conflict, playing a vital role in many major operations and bringing down the Pacific Federation's dominion in world affairs along with his archrival, Crimson 1, even dethroning the latter as the top ace of the world.

In 2016, Jaeger had a son, Erich Jager, who would go on to become a pilot and join the Universal Peace Enforcement Organization (UPEO). At some point, he joined the Osean Air Defense Force and was assigned to the Strider Squadron. He later became aware of a legend surrounding the King of the Skies.
Jaeger's earliest known deployment in the Lighthouse War as part of Strider Squadron was a reconnaissance mission involving the surveillance of the Stonehenge ruins.

Yuktobania, officially known as the Union of Yuktobanian Republics, is an international superpower and the largest nation on the Verusan continent. Yuktobania is a highly developed nation that possesses a large population, industrialized economy, and a well-outfitted military force. The country is also regarded for its many advancements in aerospace technology, submersible engineering, and ballistic missile weaponry.

Clown is the flight lead of the Mage Squadron, an Osean Air Defense Force squadron assigned to the IUN's peacekeeping forces. While he seems caring at first glance, he is an opportunistic man. He is the player's first wingman in Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown.

Trigger is a male Osean Air Defense Force pilot, a member of the Long Range Strategic Strike Group and former member of Mage Squadron. Following his alleged murder of former Osean President Vincent Harling, he was reassigned to an Osean Air Force penal unit, Spare Squadron. He later became the leader of Strider Squadron in the LRSSG.

A renowned and feared pilot, his unique aircraft marking earned him the nickname "Three Strikes" by those on both sides of the Lighthouse War. His accomplishments

Knocker is the flight lead of the Osean Air Defense Force's Golem Squadron and Mage Squadron. A pilot with a serious demeanor, he manages the pilots under his command strictly and does not allow them to show off.

Full Band was a fighter pilot in the Osean Air Defense Force's 444th Fighter Squadron, Spare Squadron. He often revealed information he had acquired from various sources. As he didn't read too deep into it, the information he revealed is often proven to be false. Count unintentionally shot down and killed Full Band after AWACS Bandog marked his aircraft as hostile.

At some point, High Roller was transferred to the 444th Air Base and was assigned to the Spare Squadron. To make the base look official, the squadron was repeatedly deployed in order to distract Erusean forces. On July 1, 2019, High Roller was deployed with Spare Squadron and distracted Erusean forces in the area. Once contact with the base commander was lost, he assisted in shooting down all bombers in the area. He had bet a lot of money on Trigger's survival during the mission.

Evelyn London III, callsign Hitman 3/Comic, is a member of Sicario's Hitman Team and a former member of the Cascadian Air Force. Proficient in air combat, she yearns for the fight of her life, with nobody getting in her way; it should be noted her TAC name is a leftover from a "slightly funnier" personality.[2][3]

She is one of the four main characters of Project Wingman and one of the player's main wingmen.

Erusea, officially the Kingdom of Erusea, is a large nation located on the westernmost part of the Usean continent. Erusea shares its border with San Salvacion and at least one other nation. Its capital, Farbanti, is located on the coast of Usea's westernmost peninsula near the Spring Sea.

Cipher was a mercenary pilot employed by the Ustio Air Force's 6th Air Division. He was the flight leader of Galm Team and primarily led the squadron during the Belkan War of 1995. Cipher is the player character in Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War. His signature aircraft is the F-15C Eagle.

Cipher is well known for having an extraordinarily high number of kills in Area B7R, which earned him the nickname "Demon Lord of the Round Table".

Belka is best known for pioneering the use of aircraft in war, particularly with its legendary Belkan Air Force. Historically, the country was a leading scientific and industrial power, which utilized its strength to advance its imperialist policy in the 20th century. This culminated in the 1995 Belkan War, in which Belka detonated seven nuclear weapons on its own soil.

Húxiān is an Osean Air Defense Force pilot and a member of Strider Squadron, having been transferred from the Cyclops Squadron. Although she can be foulmouthed at times, she cares for her wingmen. Húxiān experienced a rough upbringing in the slums. She later left and worked hard to become a pilot, joining the Osean Air Defense Force's Cyclops Squadron.

Count is an Osean Air Defense Force fighter pilot and a member of the Long Range Strategic Strike Group, as well as a former member of the Spare Squadron
Count's first mission as a member of the LRSSG was Operation Siren's Song on August 10, 2019, where Cyclops and Strider Squadrons raided Snider's Top and attacked the primary Erusean Navy resupply junction, destroying the valley resupply base, marine aircraft launching platform, and the Njord Fleet.

AWACS Sky Keeper is the callsign of an Airborne Warning and Control System unit for the IUN-PKF. He performs his task professionally with composure at all times. During the Lighthouse War, Sky Keeper served as the AWACS for IUN-PKF forces, where he provided information and status updates during missions.
During Operation Dual Wielder, Sky Keeper provided instructions for Golem, Mage, Gargoyle and Skeleton Squadrons.

Lieutenant Colonel Alvin H. Davenport, callsign "Chopper", was an Osean pilot, lieutenant colonel, and the third member of the Osean Air Defense Force's Wardog Squadron. Davenport's pet dog, Kirk, was the inspiration for his squadron's name and emblem. Davenport was a well known chatterbox among the personnel stationed at Sand Island Air Force Base, and his penchant for cheeky remarks often earned him the ire of his superiors, such as AWACS Thunderhead. He calls the Protag (Blaze) "Kid".

AWACS Galaxy is the callsign of Sicario's AWACS. Its operator is Dominic Zaitsev, Sicario's second-in-command.[3] Notably, a mercenary AWACS is a rarity, even among smaller regular militaries, and he lacks the usual prior military training that AWACS operators usually undergo.[4]

He is one of the four main characters of Project Wingman and the player's main AWACS operator and gameplay radio callout in place of Robin "Prez" Kuo.

Commander Arnold Frenken, TAC name Kaiser, is the leader of Sicario and its flagship air unit, Assassin Team.[3] A glory seeker, he has been on an unending pursuit for fame and glory and a spot in history, his most notable and successful venture being Sicario.

Marcus Lampert, callsign Shamrock, is a Republic of Emmeria Air Force pilot and member of the Garuda Team, as "Garuda 2". Lampert resided in Gracemeria with a wife and daughter whom he deeply cared for, but they were both killed during the Emmeria-Estovakia War.

Lampert's heroic actions during the war resulted in him being heralded as an ace and an Emmerian hero, alongside his squadron leader Talisman. Following the war, stories of his actions throughout the war were shared amongst many people.

Wiseman is an Osean Air Defense Force pilot and the leader of Cyclops Squadron.At some point, Wiseman joined the Osean Air Defense Force and became their top ace pilot. Wiseman flew as the leader of the Cyclops Squadron during the Lighthouse War where he and his squadron were tasked with reconnaissance over Erusean territory. His unit's return over Yinshi Valley was assisted by Spare Squadron.

Crimson 1 was the leader of Federation Peacekeeper Squadron Crimson during the Cascadian Conflict and the archnemesis of Sicario top ace Monarch. He was reputed as the top ace of the world and a poster boy of the Federation Air Force.

He led his squadron in various battles in the civil war, being humiliated at almost every turn with the Crowned mercenary by losing his wingmen.

Ustio, officially the Republic of Ustio, is a small landlocked nation located on the Osean continent. It is bordered by Belka to the north; Recta and Ratio to the east; Sapin to the south; and Osea to the west. Ustio's capital, Directus, is situated near the center of the nation.
Formerly Belkan territory, Ustio seceded from the Belkan Federation as a result of the Belkan economic crisis, declaring its independence on May 12, 1988. In 1995, Belka invaded Ustio as part of the Belkan War.

Peter Kennedy, callsign Hitman 2/Diplomat, is a member of Sicario's Hitman Team. A man born of privilege, he foregone it to pursue his love of flying, but was rebellious to expectation and chose to forge his own path. His TAC name was apparently chosen by others, being a quip at his upbringing whose connection to which he vehemently denies.[2]

He is one of the four main characters of Project Wingman and one of the player's main wingmen.

Captain Woodward is the former Captain of the stolen Pacific Federation battleship Eminent Domain and a member of the Cascadian Coast Guard aligned with the Cascadian Independence Force. He commanded the ship for most of the Cascadian Conflict up to its end.

Robin Kuo, TAC name President, is a Hitman Team crew chief and the weapon systems officer of Monarch, its leader. She is famous within Sicario as the only WSO capable of sustaining Monarch's flying style, albeit barely, and comes from a family in the Federation Core States.[3]

She can only be heard throughout the campaign while flying two-seater aircraft.

Brownie was an IUN-PKF fighter pilot and a member of Golem Squadron. She considered Trigger of the Mage Squadron as her rival as she wanted to be recognized by the squadron leader, Knocker.

Mobius 1was an Independent State Allied Forces Air Force ace pilot and flight leader of the 118th Tactical Fighter Wing "Mobius."

He is renowned for his contributions to defeating Erusea during the Continental War and the rebellious Free Erusea forces across post-war Usea. In 2014, Mobius 1 once more fought against a resurgent Free Erusea as part of the IUN's peacekeeping forces.
