Octoman is from Takora, a planet at odds with the Galactic Space Federation. Takora is surrounded by enemies and is in an unstable econimic state. Octoman wants to win the F Zero Grand Prix to pay for his children's education. Will contribute the rest of his winnings to the Takoraian government to give them hope for the future. Loves his species. Endearing. Has a big heart. Intelligent; Takoraians tend to be arrogant about their IQ. Rivals with Jody Summer. Doesn't want to be eaten.

The Takoraian F Zero Pilot of Deep Claw

Was one of the pilots part of a major accident years ago in F Zero. Had to be revived as a cyborg due to injuries. Continues to race in the F Zero despite protests from others. Lives only for F Zero. Being a Cyborg, he's been able to polish his racing skills without fearing death. Prefers to go where the wind takes him instead of making plans. Does disaster rescue when he's not racing. Hardy. Fearless. Confident. Doesn't miss his human body. Girlfriend is not a cyborg. 

The Cyborg F Zero Pilot of the Red Gazelle

The main villain of the F Zero series. Black Shadow is extremely evil, cold, and cruel. He doesn't care about the effects of his actions have on other people. Only values people if they are useful to him. If provoked, he will not hesitate to fight back and punish his offenders. Psychotic, but extremely cunning. Loves destruction and causing it, often laughing when doing so. Has no problems destroying other machines in F Zero and may even enjoy it. Seems to respect courage, despite his nature. 

The Villainous F Zero Pilot of the Black Bull

QQQ is a robot from the future and possesses navigational hardware to traverse time, but is unaware of this. Partner of space detective and time patrol member Phoenix, the pilot of the Rainbow Phoenix and is also from the future. Was found damaged and repaired by Phoenix. QQQ provides mission support for Phoenix. Originally made for landmine detection and disposal. Is quite modest. Occasionally gets nervous. It's AI is extremely advanced. From the 29th century. Pragmatic. Is waterproof. 

The Robotic F Zero Pilot of the Rolling Turtle 

The host, wielder and living incarnation of the cursed sword, Soul Edge. Violent and ruthless. Merciless, even to those who fail to serve him. Main goal is to restore Soul Edge by consuming souls. Either seeks to destroy the world or conquer it. Cares little for anything else. Only seems to respect people just as violent as he is. Looks down on humans, calling them "weak" or "foolish". Uses the words "Darkness", "Nightmare", "Soul", (or "Souls") "Blood" in his sentences.
