Tau Ihu is a yellow tuatara, and the figurehead of the Mairehau High School waka. Tau Ihu likes to hang out with Tau Rapa, Waka Ama, and Waka Katea, even though they tease them a bit. Also, all wakas are named after the four animals. Tau Rapa is a bat, Waka Ama is a karearea, and Waka Katea is an orca.

Molla Chino recently found out from Lone Black that Cappy Chino made a small version of himself. When she heard that, Molla immediately snatched Tiny Cappy away, as she's a big fangirl for Cappy and wants a small version of him to keep when Cappy is doing other things out of the house. This makes Tiny Cappy very frustrated, as he thought he would just be helping Cappy Chino serve coffee at the Mairehau Cafe.
