John Bender is known as ‘The Criminal’ in the breakfast club (aka Saturday school). The reason is because he’s pulled the fire alarm and has possession of drugs. He’s about 16-17 years old and compulsive. He swears a lot and is also a wisecrack. He couldn’t care less if he had more Saturday school. His dad is abusive and he has a cigarette burn on his right arm. He has a sort of brunette surfer haircut and he wears a white long sleeve underneath his red flannel. He also has a denim jacket. 

The criminal 

Sodapop Curtis is the handsome brother in the Curtis family. His two other brothers are Darry curtis (20) and Ponyboy Curtis (14). Sodapop’s ‘bout 16 years old and speaks with a slightly southern drawl as he lives in Tulsa Oklahoma. He’s a dropout and can’t really spell for beans. After he dropped out he started workin at the local DX gas station nearby. Not much income but it’s work. His parents are dead and he’s a greaser so he’s not too keen on socs or anythin like that. 

The greasers consist of 7 people. Sodapop, Darry, and Ponyboy. Who are brothers. Then Steve, Two-Bit, Dallas/Dally, and Johnny. Johnny is 16, Ponyboy is 14, Dally is 17, Two-Bit is 18, Steve is 17, Sodapop is 16, and Darry is 20. Sodapop is more cheery, Steve is Sodapop’s best friend. Darry is the oldest and most stern, Two-Bit is a happy cheery wisecrack who deep down is lonely. Dally is dangerous and more tough and hard. Ponyboy likes reading, and Johnny lives in an abusive home.

Cold, mean, and tough

Darry Curtis, prolly one of the most hard working and unappreciated greasers in the gang, really. Though, his relationship with his little brother, Ponyboy is a bit rocky. He’s still responsible at times. Yet still misunderstanding of ones emotions as well. He lives in Tulsa, the harsh parts of Oklahoma especially when you’re living in the 60s. He can get pretty damn hard on you but he just ain’t want you bein’ all a softie n unable to survive in the world. It don’t mean he ain’t a jerk at times

I really ain’t the brightest crayon in the box, but I’m pretty friendly. My ma’ n pa’ are pretty abusive so I ain’t goin’ home most of the time. I end up always fallin’ asleep in the lot or at the Curtis’ house. I got short brown hair which is only slightly greased up. I wear a blue denim jacket n a black t-shirt underneath. I also got blue jeans n I’ve got a tan skin color. I got a bruise on my cheek which’s been there for a hell load of time. I’ve been beaten by socs very badly once. 

Sweet but serious is all I gotta say

Rusty James is a rather tall 17 year old kid in Junior High with dark copper hair and hershey brown eyes. He has 3 friends. Steve, who is his best friend, and the other 2 are Smokey and B.J. His older brother is Motorcycle Boy. And he really likes Rumble Fish (Betta/fighting fish). He's a troublemaker. He usually hangs out at Benny's bar. 

Ponyboy lives in Tulsa Oklahoma. His hair is bleached blonde and he wears a blue/purple flannel. Sometimes he wears Dally’s jacket to remember him. Dally n Johnny are dead. Johnny died in the fire and Dal made his death look like a murder. Ponyboy likes books, sunsets, and Paul Newman. Sometimes he’ll recite Robert frost poems here n there but it’s really not special to him anymore, now that they’re gone. His brothers are Sodapop n Darry. Others are Two-Bit n Steve. It’s currently 1965.

Keith "Two-Bit" Mathews is one of the best friends of Ponyboy Curtis and a member of the Greasers. He’s Wise-cracking, sarcastic, street smart, and protective. He also likes Mickey Mouse, hence the blue Mickey Mouse tank top he wears under his black leather jacket. He also has a southern drawl, living in Tulsa Oklahoma. He may be a ray of sunshine, but deep down he’s suffering and questioning his own worth. He can’t read or write.
