A region awaits atop the Hanging Garden's peak, requiring max karma to enter. The Preservatory is a short, yet challanging path, riddled with lizard who now are monotone, lacking any features that distinguish them from one another. Is it just a harmless blue lizard, or a red lizard who will kill in just one bite? The one who enters will not know. In the deeper layers of this region exist preserved creature, swimming in aquariums of mysterious, green substance.

The Watcher is a black slugcat with glowing white eyes, and is presumably teen-aged.

They used to be an ordinary slugcat; however when they were a pup, their sibling and parent were killed by another, aggressive slugcat, and all they did was watch.

Some time after; enough for them to grow up a little, they met a strange Echo called Spinning Top, who granted them the ability to go invisible at will, aswell as the ability to travel through realites, time, and space.

Echoes, also referred to as Ghosts, are the spiritual remnants of Rain World's previous civilized race, the Ancients. They are large, floating, black beings with golden scales on their long appendages. They are stuck between this world and transcendence.

Spinning Top herself, is smaller than other shown Echoes. She attempted, or mabye was forced to ascend when she was still a child.

Spinning Top once met a slugcat by the name of "The Watcher", or "Nightcat", who she has taken a liking to.

Barnacles are small, shelled creatures found in "watery" regions; Coral Caves, Turbulent Pump, Rusted Wrecks, Salination.

Barnacles typically have a large shell with cone-like, holed protrusions in varying colors of cream to beige. Their bodies beneath are black ovals with 6 legs and two small, grey, protruding eyes. Their shells can be cracked by Snail pops and explosives.

They are social creatures, and thus are often seen hanging out in groups of 5-8, called "clusters".

Basilisk Lizards are a species of  Lizards exclusive to the region Fetid Glen. They are characterized by their swampy appearance and toxic hide. Basilisk Lizards are often a dark hue of brownish red, orange, or yellow. Their head is unique compared to other Lizards, featuring a curved skull and jaw, 2 mushroom-like knobs at the top of the head, and long, curved horns. Similarly to Black Lizards, Basilisk Lizards are completely blind, relying entirely on hearing to find prey and avoid danger.

Big Moths have 4 long, white legs. They have a long neck, thorax, and abdomen. 4 wings attach to their thorax, one pair of bigger wings higher up, and a lower pair of slightly smaller wings. Their head is small and triangular, with a long pink proboscis that is most often hidden, 2 small black, diamond shaped eyes, and 2 fluffy antennae on the top of their head. Big Moths are most often pure white in color.

Big Moths use their proboscis to suck up the nutrients of other creatures, killing them.

The Rot Prince, or just Prince for short, resides in the Throne subregion of Outer Rim.

Initially, the Prince takes the form of a singular large Rot cyst embedded in a corner, which grows larger and eventually hatches with each visit of the Watcher, a black slugcat, who the Prince considers a friend now, and looks forwards to their visits.

Unlike other Rot-aligned creatures, such as Daddy Long Legs, the Prince is rather friendly and makes no active or conscious attempt to harm other creatures.

Tardigrades have squishy, oblong bodies with triangular, spiky legs, ears, and spines, and small, black eyes. Their body color and secondary colors have a wide range of colors.

They can be eaten alive or dead for 2 food pips. However, doing so is dangerous, as they have potent poison that can kill a medium sized creature, the beginning effects being dizzyness, fainting, and discoloration.

Tardigrades can be stabbed with a spear in order to coat the tip of the spear in poison.
