MX is the main antagonist of Mario '85. Sitting within an abandoned copy of Super Mario Bros., MX takes the souls of those who play the game so that he can “play” with them for all eternity. When MX isn't trying to kill someone, he adopts Mario's mannerisms around others. So while he wouldn't be invested in a relationship, he would definitely be a gentleman.

Fake Peppino is a being that bears a close resemblance to Peppino Spaghetti. He is shown to have jittery movement while also being moist and slimy. He is much taller than Peppino with a loose eye and a permanent smile. Additionally, in one of his boss fight attacks, he takes his head off like a mask, revealing nothing but a pink brain with eyes.

Papyrus is a flamboyant skeleton who presents a confident, charismatic image of himself. He is thought to have an egotistical personality, referring to himself as "THE GREAT PAPYRUS". He works hard and, despite his brash personality, is kind at heart. He is optimistic and brave, and is shown to be considerate and forgiving. He is also occasionally oblivious and nonobservant, but can be cunning at times. Papyrus believes in others just as much as he believes in himself.

Glamrock Freddy is initially introduced as a bookish, straightforward entertainer. Hog is a off brand version of Sonic and is a tenrec who happens to be an alternate Sonic the Hedgehog created by a third-party group that happens to be labeled Giga. Hog himself is a heroic tenrec. Together with his best friend Prowler, he ventures out to stop the evil Doctor Bio "Yolkman" Mechanik from conquering planet Torus. Occasionally others like Fists, Holly or Shade and Velvet join his little quest.
